[blackcat] L1 Fibonacci MA BandThe true charm of the Fibonacci moving average band lies not only in its predictive ability. Its essence is that it combines the beauty of mathematics with the practicality of market analysis, providing traders with a powerful tool to optimize trading strategies. It's not a simple number game, but a wisdom that sees into the deeper structure of the market.
Next, we will delve into the core technical indicators of the Fibonacci moving average band - WHALES, RESOLINE, STICKLINE functions, and TRENDLINE, as well as their clever applications. The WHALES indicator, with its 12-period exponential moving average, captures short-term market trends; the RESOLINE indicator, through the 120-period EMA, reveals mid-term market movements; the STICKLINE function, distinguishes the relationship between WHALES and RESOLINE with colors, providing clear visual aids; while TRENDLINE, combining price slope with EMA, depicts more detailed market changes for traders.
The integrated application of these indicators has built a multi-dimensional market analysis framework for traders. They help traders examine the market from different angles, judge the market status more accurately, and make wiser decisions in the ever-changing market environment. The Fibonacci moving average band indicator is like a lighthouse, emitting guiding light in the ocean of trader's navigation.
1. `xsl(src, len)` function: This function calculates a value called the linear regression slope. Len defines the length of the linear regression. Then, this function normalizes the difference between the current value of the linear regression and the previous value. The formula is `(lrc - lrprev) / timeframe.multiplier`.
2. `whales`, `resoline`, and `trendline` are Exponential Moving Averages (EMA) calculated in different ways. "whales" is the 13-period closing price EMA, "resoline" is the 144-period closing price EMA, and "trendline" is a more complicated EMA. It is the 50-period EMA calculated by the 21-period closing price slope multiplied by 23 plus the closing price.
3. The `plotcandle` function draws two sets of candlestick charts. One set shows in blue when "whales" is greater than "resoline", and the other set shows in green when "whales" is less than "resoline".
4. The `plot` function draws three lines: "whales", "resoline", and "trendline". "whales" is displayed in orange with a line thickness of 2. "resoline" is displayed in yellow with a line thickness of 1. "trendline" is displayed in red with a line thickness of 3.
5. The last line draws a conditional line. When the closing price is less than the "trendline", the green "trendline" is drawn, otherwise, it is not drawn. This is a logical judgment, the drawing operation is only executed when the condition is met.
Institutional Demand and Supply Indicator- Professional Zones V1*** Technical Analysis intro to Demand & Supply Zones:
Analyzing supply and demand has become a prevalent approach for day and swing traders engaged in equity, forex, and futures markets. The objective of studying supply and demand zones is to anticipate potential price pivots before they occur, providing traders with a strategic advantage. While various charting and trading strategies fall within the supply and demand framework, our emphasis will primarily be on Institutional Zones of Demand and Supply Imbalances, as highlighted by our TradingView indicator.
See the demstration for what Demand & Supply Zones inbalances may look like:
To start, let's deconstruct the mentioned expression. The term 'institutional' holds significant importance in our trading approach. As a retail trader, it's crucial to grasp that individuals like you and me have minimal influence over and impact on price movements in major markets. The daily price fluctuations are primarily driven by substantial transactions conducted by large institutions and hedge funds, involving substantial quantities of buying and selling in the equity market.
The presented chart illustrates the price dynamics of ES, representing the S&P500 E-mini futures.
See the Example below for Demand & Supply Zones:
Recognizing the pivotal role of institutions in influencing market prices is essential for comprehending the creation of supply and demand imbalances. This understanding is derived from an analysis of historical price movements.
Price action manifests in two primary forms: balanced and imbalanced. Balanced price action represents a flat, consolidative market movement characterized by a sideways overall direction. In contrast, imbalanced price action denotes a pronounced upward or downward shift in price. The critical insight lies in the fact that institutional demand and supply imbalances emerge when the market transitions from balanced to imbalanced price action. The following illustration provides an example of balanced price action.
Below is example that measure the strength/ weakness of Demand & Supply zones!!!!
The duration of consolidation directly influences the size of the demand/supply zone, with its strength gauged by the originating time frame. Each zone may emerge on various time frames, ranging from the largest on the 1-Month time frame to the smallest on the 30-Minute time frame. Automatic labeling of supply and demand zones occurs based on their respective time frames.
Weaker zones are associated with the 30-Minute time frame, indicating a formation period of merely two 30-minute candles. This limited time span restricts the opportunity for institutions to execute substantial orders, resulting in smaller bounces and rejections, typically lasting no more than a few days.
In contrast, larger zones like 1 Day, 1 Week, and 1 Month have the potential to instigate significant market swings lasting for weeks, months, or even years. It is imperative to consider not only the current placement of demand and supply zones but also the strength associated with each zone. Examining the instance of the market bottoming and reversing, it becomes evident that the demand zone was notably robust, being a powerful weekly zone.
These zones operate on an order-based principle, distinguishing them from standard trend-based support and resistance levels. Unlike conventional levels, a supply zone doesn't transform into demand when price action surpasses it, and vice versa. If the price action drops below demand or above supply, even by a mere $0.01, indicating that all buy orders have been fulfilled, the demand or supply zone is then removed from the chart.
While it is feasible to approach these zone breaks as continuation opportunities based on the ongoing significant price action, predicting the extent of price movement after breaking supply or demand during that phase remains uncertain. Nevertheless, drawing upon my years of experience in demand and supply, I've observed a tendency for the market to eventually gravitate toward the next viable demand zone if the current one breaks. This is because without a pivot induced by an institutional-created demand or supply imbalance, there often lacks sufficient participation to sustain a prolonged trend reversal.
Limitations for the Indicator:
TradingView has a few constraints that impact the functionality of the Professional Zones - Institutional Supply and Demand Imbalances indicator. The primary limitation arises from the data provided by TradingView to its users. A basic TradingView account grants access to only 5,000 candles of data. Therefore, users operating on a 1-minute time frame can view a maximum of 5,000 candles leading up to the current point. This is crucial because our advanced indicator analyzes historical price action to identify demand and supply zones, displaying them on your chart. Consequently, users on a 1-minute time frame can only observe zones formed within the last 5,000 candles. Older demand and supply zones cannot be showcased. However, with a Premium TradingView subscription, users can access up to 20,000 candles, significantly expanding the potential zones visible on smaller time frames.
To address this limitation, we strongly recommend examining larger time frames before commencing your trading day, as there might be an older zone hidden from view. Once identified on, for instance, a 30-minute time frame, you can easily take note of the demand zone and its location.
Please Note for the what is offered in the indicator:

FluxFilter Trend Strategy [BITsPIP]Hello fellow traders, I'm excited to share with you the FluxFilter Trend Strategy, a trading approach I've developed for those interested in exploring trend-following strategies. My goal was to create something straightforward and accessible, so traders looking to refine their portfolios can easily integrate its features. By the end of this guide, I hope you'll have a solid grasp of how the FluxFilter Trend Strategy functions, appreciate its benefits, understand its potential drawbacks, and see how it might fit into various trading contexts.
I) Overview
The FluxFilter Trend Strategy is tailored to align with the market's long-term trend. It examines the price data from the previous year to gauge the market's overall trajectory by employing moving averages. Subsequently, within shorter timeframes, the strategy utilizes a combination of modified Supertrend, Hull Suite, and various trend-following and filtering techniques to generate buy or sell signals. Although its advanced take profit and stop loss mechanisms might initially present a learning curve, they are integral to the strategy's effectiveness. They are designed to secure gains by capturing prevailing trends and mitigating the impact of false reversal signals.
II) Deep Backtesting
Deep backtesting stands as a cornerstone in the development of trading strategies, offering a robust method for traders to assess the performance of their strategy against historical data. This process yields a retrospective view, illustrating how the strategy might have navigated through past market fluctuations, thereby shedding light on its potential robustness and areas for refinement. However, it's crucial to acknowledge that a strategy's performance can be influenced by a myriad of factors including market dynamics, the chosen timeframe, and the inherent attributes of the traded asset. Consequently, it's advisable to conduct thorough backtesting under various conditions to ascertain the strategy's reliability before applying it to actual trading scenarios.
III) Benefits
A primary advantage of the FluxFilter Trend Strategy is its proficiency in discerning genuine market trends from mere price fluctuations, thereby avoiding premature or uncertain trades. Unlike approaches that take high risks on speculative trades, this strategy prioritizes a high degree of confidence in the direction of the trade. It meticulously waits for a clear confirmation of the market trend. Once this certainty is established, the strategy promptly generates trade signals, ensuring that traders are positioned to capitalize on optimal market entry points without delay. This approach not only enhances the potential for profit but also aligns with a disciplined and methodical trading ethos.
IV) Applications
FluxFilter Trend Strategy can be applied across various timeframes, with a particular efficacy in those under 15 minutes. Its adaptable framework means it can be customized to cater to a variety of asset classes, encompassing stocks, commodities, forex, and cryptocurrencies. Initially, the strategy was specifically calibrated for low-volatile cryptocurrencies, as reflected in the default settings for stop loss and take profit values. It's important to recognize that the unique volatility and trend patterns of your selected market necessitate careful adjustments to these parameters. This fine-tuning of profit targets and stop loss thresholds is crucial for aligning the strategy with the specific dynamics of your chosen market, which I will discuss shortly.
V) Strategy's Logic
1. Trend Identification: My conviction lies in the power of trend trading to yield long-term gains. Central to the FluxFilter Trend Strategy is the Hull Suite indicator, a tool developed by InSilico, serving as one of the confirmation indicators. This indicator acts as a compass for trend direction; a price residing above the Hull Suite line signals an uptrend, potentially marking an entry point for a buy position or confirming it. In contrast, a price positioned below this line suggests a downtrend, potentially indicating a strategic moment to sell or confirming the sell.
2. Noise Reduction: The financial markets are known for their 'noise'—short-lived price movements that can obscure the true market direction. The FluxFilter Trend Strategy is designed to sift through this noise, thereby facilitating more lucid and informed trading decisions. It employs a set of straightforward yet innovative techniques to single out significant misleading fluctuations. This is achieved by analyzing recent bars to spot bars with unusually large bodies, which often represent misleading market noise.
3. Risk Management: A key facet of the strategy is its emphasis on pragmatic risk management. Traders are empowered to establish practical stop-loss and take-profit levels, tailoring these crucial parameters to the specific market they are engaging in. This customization is instrumental in optimizing long-term profitability, ensuring that the strategy adapts fluidly to the unique characteristics and volatility patterns of different trading environments.
VI) Strategy's Input Settings and Default Values
1. Modified Supertrend
i. Factor: Serving as a multiplier in the Average True Range (ATR) calculation, this parameter adjusts the distance of the Supertrend line relative to the price chart. Elevating the factor value widens the gap between the Supertrend line and price, offering a more conservative stance. On the flip side, diminishing the factor value pulls the Supertrend line closer to the price action, heightening its sensitivity. While the preset value is 1, you have the flexibility to modify this to suit your trading approach.
ii. ATR Length: This defines the count of bars that are incorporated into the ATR computation, directly influencing the Supertrend's adaptability to market changes. With a default setting of 30 bars, it strikes a balance, smoothing over short-term fluctuations while maintaining a meaningful sensitivity to market trends. Adjusting this parameter allows you to tailor the indicator's responsiveness to suit your trading strategy, considering the volatility and behavioral patterns of the asset you are trading.
2. Hull Suite
i. Hull Suite Length: Designed for capturing long-term trends, the Hull Suite Length is configured at 1000. Functioning comparably to moving averages, the Hull Suite features upper and lower bands, though these are not employed in our current strategy.
ii. Length Multiplier: It's advisable to maintain a minimal value for the Length Multiplier, prioritizing the optimization of the Hull Suite Length. Presently, it is set to 1.
3. Filtering Indicators
i. Fluctuation Filtering Percentage: It's advisable to set this parameter to ten times the size of the average bar in your specific market, as this helps effectively mitigate the impact of market fluctuations. While the initial default is 0.4(%), based on the BTCUSDT market, it's crucial to adjust this figure to align with the characteristics of different assets or markets you're trading in.
ii. Fluctuation Filtering Bars: This parameter designates the count of preceding bars to consider when assessing market fluctuations. It's fully customizable, allowing you to tailor it based on your market insights. The preset default is 3, a balance chosen to minimize susceptibility to potentially misleading signals.
iii. Trend Confirmation Percentage: This metric is pivotal for verifying the viability of a trend post-entry. If the trade doesn't achieve this percentage in profit, it indicates a deviation from the expected trend. Under such circumstances, it may be prudent to exit the trade prematurely rather than awaiting the stop-loss trigger. It's recommended to set this parameter at half the size of the average candle body for the market you're analyzing. The initial default is set at 0.2(%).
4. StopLoss and TakeProfit
i. StopLoss and TakeProfit Settings: Two distinct approaches are available. Semi-Automatic StopLoss/TakeProfit Setting and Manual StopLoss/TakeProfit Setting. The Semi-Automatic mode streamlines the process by allowing you to input values for a 5-minute timeframe, subsequently auto-adjusting these values across various timeframes, both lower and higher. Conversely, the Manual mode offers full control, enabling you to meticulously define TakeProfit values for each individual timeframe.
ii. TakeProfit Threshold # and TakeProfit Value #: Imagine this mechanism as an ascending staircase. Each step represents a range, with the lower boundary (TakeProfit Value) designed to close the trade upon being reached, and the upper boundary (TakeProfit Threshold) upon being hit, propelling the trade to the next level, and forming a new range. This stair-stepping approach enhances risk management and has the potential to increase profitability. The pre-set configurations are tailored for volatile markets, such as BTCUSDT. It's advisable to devote time to tailoring these settings to your specific market, aiming to achieve optimal results based on backtesting.
iii. StopLoss Value: In line with its name, this value marks the limit of loss you're prepared to accept should the market trend go against your expectations. It's crucial to note that once your asset reaches the first TakeProfit range, the initial StopLoss value becomes obsolete, supplanted by the first TakeProfit Value. The default StopLoss value is pegged at 1.8(%), a figure worth considering in your trading strategy.
VII) Entry Conditions
The principal element that triggers the signal is the Modified Supertrend. Additional indicators serve as confirmatory tools. Nonetheless, to refine your strategy effectively, it's crucial to fine-tune the parameters. This involves adjusting input variables such as take profit levels, threshold parameters, and the filtering values discussed previously.
VIII) Exit Conditions
The strategy stipulates exit conditions primarily governed by stop loss and take profit parameters. On infrequent occasions, if the trend lacks confirmation post-entry, the strategy mandates an exit upon the issuance of a reverse signal (whether confirmed or unconfirmed) by the strategy itself.
Good Luck!!
Clustered Asset Moving Average @shrilssThe Clustered Asset Moving Average script is designed to provide traders with a unique perspective on a cluster of multiple assets. By combining the closing prices and volumes of 12 specified assets, this indicator calculates a Clustered Moving Average to reveal potential trends and market sentiment within this asset cluster.
Key Features:
- Asset Cluster Analysis:
The script considers 12 assets, including well-known names such as Google (GOOG), Microsoft (MSFT), Apple (AAPL), Tesla (TSLA), and others.
It calculates the price and volume of each asset to form a comprehensive view of the asset cluster.
- Clustered Moving Average Calculation:
The Asset Price and Volume are combined to calculate the Clustered Moving Average
This moving average reflects the relationship between the aggregated price and volume of the specified assets.
- Multiple Exponential Moving Averages (EMA):
The script includes three EMAs (10, 25, and 100) applied to the Clustered Moving Average, providing different time perspectives.
Users can customize the visibility of each EMA based on their trading preferences.
- Visual Representation:
The indicator offers a visual representation of the Clustered Moving Average, allowing traders to quickly identify trends and potential reversal points.
Different EMAs are color-coded, enhancing visual clarity.
MTF MA ChaserThis is my own Moving Averages analysis tool, if anyone else will find it useful.
How It Works:
Upon adding the indicator to the chart, it calculates the selected Moving Averages for the defined timeframes. The main chart will display these MAs according to the user's chosen timeframe and type (default is the chart timeframe). Simultaneously, a table is generated on the chart, showcasing the percentage difference of the current price from these MAs across various timeframes. This table is color-coded to indicate different market states, such as proximity to MA/price crossovers.
Key Features:
Multi-Timeframe Analysis: Users can view Moving Average data from different timeframes (5m, 15m, 1H, 4H, 1D, 1W) on their current chart. This allows for quick and efficient analysis without the need to switch between different timeframe charts.
Variety of Moving Averages: The indicator supports different types of MAs, including EMA (Exponential Moving Average), SMA (Simple Moving Average), and others, providing flexibility in analysis.
Realtime Data Option: Users can choose to display real-time data for MAs, enabling them to make timely trading decisions based on the most current market information.
Customizable Display: The indicator features a customizable table that displays the MA values and their differences from the current price in percentages. Users can show or hide this table and adjust its position and text size according to their preference.
Limited Timeframe Support: The indicator is designed to work on equal or higher timeframes relative to the current chart's timeframe. It specifically supports 5-minute (5m), 15-minute (15m), 1-hour (1H), 4-hour (4H), 1-day (1D), and 1-week (1W) timeframes. This means if your current chart is set to a 1-hour timeframe, the indicator will only show MA data for 1-hour and longer timeframes (4H, 1D, 1W), but not for shorter ones like 5m or 15m.
Yet, you can go down to a 1 - 4 minute chart for scalping purposes if necessary.
Smart DCA StrategyINSPIRATION
While Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) is a popular and stress-free investment approach, I noticed an opportunity for enhancement. Standard DCA involves buying consistently, regardless of market conditions, which can sometimes mean missing out on optimal investment opportunities. This led me to develop the Smart DCA Strategy – a 'set and forget' method like traditional DCA, but with an intelligent twist to boost its effectiveness.
The goal was to build something more profitable than a standard DCA strategy so it was equally important that this indicator could backtest its own results in an A/B test manner against the regular DCA strategy.
WHY IS IT SMART?
The key to this strategy is its dynamic approach: buying aggressively when the market shows signs of being oversold, and sitting on the sidelines when it's not. This approach aims to optimize entry points, enhancing the potential for better returns while maintaining the simplicity and low stress of DCA.
WHAT THIS STRATEGY IS, AND IS NOT
This is an investment style strategy. It is designed to improve upon the common standard DCA investment strategy. It is therefore NOT a day trading strategy. Feel free to experiment with various timeframes, but it was designed to be used on a daily timeframe and that's how I recommend it to be used.
You may also go months without any buy signals during bull markets, but remember that is exactly the point of the strategy - to keep your buying power on the sidelines until the markets have significantly pulled back. You need to be patient and trust in the historical backtesting you have performed.
HOW IT WORKS
The Smart DCA Strategy leverages a creative approach to using Moving Averages to identify the most opportune moments to buy. A trigger occurs when a daily candle, in its entirety including the high wick, closes below the threshold line or box plotted on the chart. The indicator is designed to facilitate both backtesting and live trading.
HOW TO USE
Settings:
The input parameters for tuning have been intentionally simplified in an effort to prevent users falling into the overfitting trap.
The main control is the Buying strictness scale setting. Setting this to a lower value will provide more buying days (less strict) while higher values mean less buying days (more strict). In my testing I've found level 9 to provide good all round results.
Validation days is a setting to prevent triggering entries until the asset has spent a given number of days (candles) in the overbought state. Increasing this makes entries stricter. I've found 0 to give the best results across most assets.
In the backtest settings you can also configure how much to buy for each day an entry triggers. Blind buy size is the amount you would buy every day in a standard DCA strategy. Smart buy size is the amount you would buy each day a Smart DCA entry is triggered.
You can also experiment with backtesting your strategy over different historical datasets by using the Start date and End date settings. The results table will not calculate for any trades outside what you've set in the date range settings.
Backtesting:
When backtesting you should use the results table on the top right to tune and optimise the results of your strategy. As with all backtests, be careful to avoid overfitting the parameters. It's better to have a setup which works well across many currencies and historical periods than a setup which is excellent on one dataset but bad on most others. This gives a much higher probability that it will be effective when you move to live trading.
The results table provides a clear visual representation as to which strategy, standard or smart, is more profitable for the given dataset. You will notice the columns are dynamically coloured red and green. Their colour changes based on which strategy is more profitable in the A/B style backtest - green wins, red loses. The key metrics to focus on are GOA (Gain on Account) and Avg Cost .
Live Trading:
After you've finished backtesting you can proceed with configuring your alerts for live trading.
But first, you need to estimate the amount you should buy on each Smart DCA entry. We can use the Total invested row in the results table to calculate this. Assuming we're looking to trade on BITSTAMP:BTCUSD
Decide how much USD you would spend each day to buy BTC if you were using a standard DCA strategy. Lets say that is $5 per day
Enter that USD amount in the Blind buy size settings box
Check the Blind Buy column in the results table. If we set the backtest date range to the last 10 years, we would expect the amount spent on blind buys over 10 years to be $18,250 given $5 each day
Next we need to tweak the value of the Smart buy size parameter in setting to get it as close as we can to the Total Invested amount for Blind Buy
By following this approach it means we will invest roughly the same amount into our Smart DCA strategy as we would have into a standard DCA strategy over any given time period.
After you have calculated the Smart buy size , you can go ahead and set up alerts on Smart DCA buy triggers.
BOT AUTOMATION
In an effort to maintain the 'set and forget' stress-free benefits of a standard DCA strategy, I have set my personal Smart DCA Strategy up to be automated. The bot runs on AWS and I have a fully functional project for the bot on my GitHub account. Just reach out if you would like me to point you towards it. You can also hook this into any other 3rd party trade automation system of your choice using the pre-configured alerts within the indicator.
PLANNED FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS
Currently this is purely an accumulation strategy. It does not have any sell signals right now but I have ideas on how I will build upon it to incorporate an algorithm for selling. The strategy should gradually offload profits in bull markets which generates more USD which gives more buying power to rinse and repeat the same process in the next cycle only with a bigger starting capital. Watch this space!
MARKETS
Crypto:
This strategy has been specifically built to work on the crypto markets. It has been developed, backtested and tuned against crypto markets and I personally only run it on crypto markets to accumulate more of the coins I believe in for the long term. In the section below I will provide some backtest results from some of the top crypto assets.
Stocks:
I've found it is generally more profitable than a standard DCA strategy on the majority of stocks, however the results proved to be a lot more impressive on crypto. This is mainly due to the volatility and cycles found in crypto markets. The strategy makes its profits from capitalising on pullbacks in price. Good stocks on the other hand tend to move up and to the right with less significant pullbacks, therefore giving this strategy less opportunity to flourish.
Forex:
As this is an accumulation style investment strategy, I do not recommend that you use it to trade Forex.
STRATEGY IN ACTION
Here you see the indicator running on the BITSTAMP:BTCUSD pair. You can read the indicator as follows:
Vertical green bands on historical candles represents where buy signals triggered in the past
Table on the top right represents the results of the A/B backtest against a standard DCA strategy
Green Smart Buy column shows that Smart DCA was more profitable than standard DCA on this backtest. That is shown by the percentage GOA (Gain on Account) and the Avg Cost
Smart Buy Zone label marks the threshold which the entire candle must be below to trigger a buy signal (line can be changed to a box under plotting settings)
Green color of Smart Buy Zone label represents that the open candle is still valid for a buy signal. A signal will only be generated if the candle closes while this label is still green
Below is the same BITSTAMP:BTCUSD chart a couple of days later. Notice how the threshold has been broken and the Smart Buy Zone label has turned from green to red. No buy signal can be triggered for this day - even if the candle retraced and closed below the threshold before daily candle close.
Notice how the green vertical bands tend to be present after significant pullbacks in price. This is the reason the strategy works! Below is the same BITSTAMP:BTCUSD chart, but this time zoomed out to present a clearer picture of the times it would invest vs times it would sit out of the market. You will notice it invests heavily in bear markets and significant pullbacks, and does not buy anything during bull markets.
Finally, to visually demonstrate the indicator on an asset other than BTC, here is an example on CRYPTO:ETHUSD . In this case the current daily high has not touched the threshold so it is still possible for this to be a valid buy trigger on daily candle close. The vertical green band will not print until the buy trigger is confirmed.
BACKTEST RESULTS
Now for some backtest results to demonstrate the improved performance over a standard DCA strategy using all non-stablecoin assets in the top 30 cryptos by marketcap.
I've used the TradingView ticker (exchange name denoted as CRYPTO in the symbol search) for every symbol tested with the exception of BTCUSD because there was some dodgy data at the beginning of the TradingView BTCUSD chart which overinflated the effectiveness of the Smart DCA strategy on that ticker. For BTCUSD I've used the BITSTAMP exchange data. The symbol links below will take you to the correct chart and exchange used for the test.
I'm using the GOA (Gain on Account) values to present how each strategy performed.
The value on the left side is the standard DCA result and the right is the Smart DCA result.
✅ means Smart DCA strategy outperformed the standard DCA strategy
❌ means standard DCA strategy outperformed the Smart DCA strategy
To avoid overfitting, and to prove that this strategy does not suffer from overfitting, I've used the exact same input parameters for every symbol tested below. The settings used in these backtests are:
Buying strictness scale: 9
Validation days: 0
You can absolutely tweak the values per symbol to further improve the results of each, however I think using identical settings on every pair tested demonstrates a higher likelihood that the results will be similar in the live markets.
I'm presenting results for two time periods:

Four WMA Strategy with TP and SLBasically I read a research paper on how they used different moving averages for long entries and short entries, and it kind of dawned on me that I always used the same one for long entry or exit, or even swing trading. So I smashed this together to see what would happen.
The strategy combines the use of four different WMAs for identifying trade entry points, along with a predefined take profit (TP) and stop loss (SL) for risk management. Here's a detailed description of its features and how it operates:
Main Features
1. **WMAs as the Core Indicator**:
- The strategy uses four WMAs with different lengths. Two WMAs (`longM1` and `longM2`) are used for long entry signals, and the other two (`shortM1` and `shortM2`) for short entry signals.
- The lengths of these WMAs are adjustable through input parameters.
2. **Trade Entry Conditions**:
- A long entry is signaled when the shorter WMA crosses under the longer WMA .
- Conversely, a short entry is signaled when the shorter WMA crosses under the longer WMA.
3. **Take Profit and Stop Loss**:
- The strategy includes a take profit and stop loss mechanism.
- The TP and SL levels are set as a percentage of the entry price, with the percentage values being adjustable through input parameters.
4. **Visual Representation**:
- The WMAs are plotted on the chart for visual aid, each with a distinct color for easy identification.
How It Works
- The strategy continuously monitors the crossing of WMAs to detect potential entry points for long and short positions.
- Upon detecting a long or short condition, it automatically enters a trade and sets the corresponding TP and SL levels based on the current price and the specified percentages.
- The strategy then actively manages the trade, exiting the position when either the TP or SL level is reached.
Drawbacks
- **Overreliance on WMAs**: The strategy heavily relies on WMAs for trade signals. While WMAs are useful for identifying trends, they might not always provide timely entry and exit signals.
- **Market Conditions**: It may not perform well in highly volatile or sideways markets where WMA crossovers could lead to false signals.
- **Risk Management**: The fixed percentage for TP and SL might not be suitable for all market conditions. Traders might need to adjust these values frequently based on market volatility and their risk tolerance.
Apparently I need to emphasize to use brains when using indicators and setting them up to achieve the results you can or want. Also risk of 12% is considered very high so I lowered the numbers to 5%, which tanked the profits, try adjusting them on your own. Check the properties settings for more info on comission and slippage.
Conclusion
The "Four WMA Strategy with TP and SL" is suitable for traders who prefer a moving average-based approach to trading, combined with a straightforward mechanism for risk management through take profit and stop loss. However, like all strategies, it should be used with an understanding of its limitations and ideally tested thoroughly in various market conditions before applying it to live trading.

LevelUp^ Trend Follower All-In-OneLevelUp is an all-in-one collection of the most popular trend following tools merged into one indicator. LevelUp automates many aspects of technical analysis to find and highlight chart patterns and signals based on the principles of William O'Neil, Stan Weinstein, Jesse Livermore and other well-known trend followers.
The 10-EMA, 21-EMA and 50-SMA are foundational in LevelUp. LevelUp uses the term moving average alignment to refer to patterns that meet your specific requirements as it relates to moving averages and their relationship to price and one another. For example, you can request the start of MA alignment begin when the low is > 21-EMA, the 21-EMA is > 50-SMA and the 50-SMA is trending up.
LevelUp includes indicators for intraday, daily and weekly timeframes.
Key Features:
Daily Timeframe:
▪ Configure moving average alignment and preferred price action.
▪ Custom RS Line:
▪ Symbol overlays showing new RS highs.
▪ Custom moving average with optional cloud.
▪ View 10-week SMA on daily chart.
▪ Set exit criteria based on moving averages and % below entry.
▪ Stats table to simplify calculating entry/exit points.
▪ Signals table to quickly view if stock is trending up.
▪ Power trend tools and analysis.

Daily Chart Examples
The following charts show a range of examples on customization and features in LevelUp when viewing a daily chart.
Weekly Chart Examples
Weekly charts are helpful for identifying longer-term trends and patterns. Trend followers often limit the number of indicators and signals on a weekly timeframe, making for a cleaner chart with less noise.
Intraday Chart Examples
Daily 10-EMA, 21-EMA and 50-SMA on an intraday chart.
AVWAP and marked highs/lows.
RS Line ~ Relative Strength
The RS Line compares a stock's performance to the S&P 500 index. A rising RS Line means the stock is outperforming the overall market. Another important signal is when the RS Line reaches a new high before price. When this occurs, it indicates strong demand for the stock and may precede a significant price increase as buyers accumulate shares. Both signals are customizable within LevelUp providing multiple visual cues when the required conditions are met.
LevelUp also adds a few unique visuals as it relates to the typical RS Line. Included are options to show symbols on the RS line that represent RS Line new high and RS Line new high before price. This provides an at-a-glance view of the trend. Additionally, LevelUp allows for custom moving averages to be applied to the RS Line as well as an optional cloud to help identify support/resistance levels.
Power Trends
When a power trend is active, there is a stronger than usual uptrend underway. The concept of a power trend was created by Investor's Business Daily (IBD) based on extensive backtesting and historical analysis.
A power trend by definition uses a major index, such as the Nasdaq Composite (IXIC), as the data source for determining a power trend's state, either off or on. The LevelUp indicator builds upon this concept by allowing the current active chart symbol to be the data source for the power trend.
What Starts A Power Trend:
▪ Low is above the 21-day EMA for at least 10 days.
▪ 21-day EMA is above the 50-day SMA for at least five days.
▪ 50-day SMA is in an uptrend.
▪ Close up for the day.
What Ends A Power Trend:
▪ 21-day EMA crosses under 50-day SMA and the close is below prior day close.
▪ Close below the 50-day SMA and low is 10% below recent high.
Important Note: The power trend as created by IBD uses the daily 21-EMA and 50-SMA. Hence, the power trend is only shown when on the daily timeframe.
AVWAP - Anchored VWAP
The Anchored Volume Weighted Average Price (AVWAP) , created by Brian Shannon, is used to assess the average price at which an asset has traded since a specific time, event or milestone. This could be the beginning of a trading day, the release of important news, or any other event deemed significant. By anchoring the VWAP to a specific point in time, it helps market participants analyze how prices have evolved relative to that anchor.
If a stock is above a rising AVWAP, buyers are in control, while a declining AVWAP indicates sellers are in control. By analyzing AVWAP, traders can make informed decisions on timing entries, managing losses and profits, or deciding to stay on the sidelines during periods of market indecision.
Tight Weeks And Up Weeks
William O'Neil primarily focused on weekly charts. Two common patterns he looked for were tight weeks and up weeks.
Tight weeks occur when there are small variations in price from one week to the next. This indicates a lack of supply and accumulation by institutions. You can configure the minimum number of weeks and the maximum % change in price from week to week.
Up weeks are defined as multiple weeks where each close is higher than the previous week. This pattern is often a signal of institutional buying. At a minimum, O'Neil looked for three weeks of upward price action. You can configure the minimum number of up weeks required.
Flat Base
A flat based is relatively tight price action within a range. A flat base takes 5+ weeks (25+ days) to form. Although flat bases are often found after a more significant advance in price, this isn't always the case. With that in mind, LevelUp does not currently have requirements for a prior uptrend while scanning for flat bases.
In a flat base, price declines should be no more than 15% from intraday peak to trough. This is an important distinction, as with a consolidation (see below) the maximum depth is based on the high of first bar that started the base.
Default Requirements:
▪ Daily minimum length: 25 days.
▪ Weekly minimum length: 5 weeks.
▪ Depth maximum: 15% (daily or weekly).
Consolidation
A consolidation differs from a flat base in that the former can be much deeper and last longer. In addition, the fluctuations in price of a flat base are often tighter than a consolidation.
Unlike a flat base, the maximum depth is calculated from the high at the start of the consolidation. The minimum length and maximum depth can be customized for all flat base and consolidation patterns.
Default Requirements:
▪ Daily minimum length: 30 days.
▪ Weekly minimum length: 6 weeks.
▪ Depth maximum: 35% (daily or weekly).
Pullback In Price And Potential Bounce
A pullback occurs when the price declines after an initial advance. This is normal price action as prior support levels are tested. Pullbacks also act as a way to shakeout weak holders before the primary trend resumes.
With LevelUp you specify the type of pullback to track: lower lows, lower closes or both. You also set the minimum number of bars required. Different values can be set for daily and weekly charts. Once your requirements are met, LevelUp will highlight the bar after the pullback is complete. This is often a potential entry/add point.
52-Week Highs
A 52-week high refers to the highest closing price within the past 52 weeks. Trend followers often use the 52-week high as a signal to identify assets with upward momentum, considering it as an indication of a potential trend continuation. This approach assumes that assets that have reached a 52-week high are more likely to experience further price appreciation.
52-week highs can be shown on both weekly and daily charts. You can set the location where the 52-week high symbol is shown: above the bar, below the bar, at the top of the chart or at the bottom of the chart.
Marked Highs And Lows
Marked highs/lows, often referred to as pivot highs/lows, can be helpful to find areas of potential support and resistance. As defined by William O'Neil, on a daily chart, a marked high is the highest high going back nine bars and forward nine bars. The number of days forward/backward is referred to as the period. The same concept applies to finding marked lows.
One benefit of LevelUp marked highs/lows is that you can customize the high and low periods on all timeframes.
There is an additional option when viewing marked highs/lows to see where a breakout occurs. The highlight is shown if the current bar high is above the most recent pivot high.
Comparing Stock Performance
With two or more copies of LevelUp installed, you can configure different settings and compare and contrast how indicators and signals perform relative to one another.
This is a great way to come up with your own custom layout for each timeframe, tailored to your preferences and trading style.
Stats And The Signals Table
The stats and signal tables can be very helpful to see price information and patterns at a glance. For example, you can quickly determine potential stoploss placement based on the distance to/from a moving average. The signals tables show the status of several key trend indicators, including 52-week highs, RS Line new high and RS Line new high before price.
Managing Long Term Trends
Depending on your trading style, there are many ways to take advantage of long term trends. For example, the chart that follows show how an uptrend can be a profitable trade whether holding for the duration or taking shorter term trades along the way.

🔵 Introduction
Version 1.1
This is a Pine 5 trend following strategy. It has a four strategy with several alerts and signals. The design intent is to produce a commercial grade signal generator that can be adapted to any symbol in cryptocurrency and only 1H Chart. Ideally, the script is reliable enough to be the basis of an automated trading system web-hooked to a server with API access to crypto brokerages. The strategy can be run in three different modes: long, short and bidirectional.
As a trend following strategy, the behavior of the script is to buy on strength and sell on weakness. As such the trade orders maintain its directional bias according to price pressure. What you will see on the chart is long positions on the left side of the mountain and short on the right. Long and short positions are not intermingled as long as there exists a detectable trend. This is extremely beneficial feature in long running bull or bear markets. The script uses multiple setups to avoid the situation where you got in on the trend, took a small profit but couldn’t get back in because the logic is waiting for a pullback or some other intricate condition.
Deep draw-downs are a characteristic of trend following systems and this system is no different. However, this script makes use of the TradingView pyramid feature with three NPUs to find better place and even you can change drop percentage in settings for another trigger, accessible from the properties tab.
When trend market break it will stop the trade and usually it takes 2-4 percent loss but don't worry it has prefect money management and you can use it for Futures market and even Spot market.
🔵 Design
This script uses twelve indicators on two time frames. The chart (primary) interval and one higher time frame which is based on the primary. The higher time frame identifies the trend for which the primary will trade. I’ve tried to keep the higher time frame around five times greater than the primary. The original trading algorithms are a port from a much larger program on another trading platform. I’ve converted some of the statistical functions to use standard indicators available on TradingView. The setups make heavy use of the Hull Moving Average in conjunction with EMAs that form the Bill Williams Alligator as described in his book “New Trading Dimensions” Chapter 3. Lag between the Hull and the EMAs form the basis of the entry and exit points. The alligator itself is used to identify the trend main body.
The entire script is around 740 lines of Pine code which is the maximum incidental size given the TradingView limits: local scopes, run-time duration and compile time. I’ve been working on this script for over a year and have tested it on various instruments stock crypto. It performs well on higher liquidity markets that have at least a year of historical data. Though it can be configured to work on any interval between 15 minutes and 4 hour, trend trading is generally a longer term paradigm. For day trading the 10 to 15 minute interval will allow you to catch momentum breakouts. For intraweek trades 30 minutes to 1 hour should give you a trade every other a day.
Inputs to the script use cone centric measurements in effort to avoid exposing adjustments to the various internal indicators. The goal was to keep the inputs relevant to the actual trade entry and exit locations as opposed to a series of MA input values and the like. As a result the strategy exposes over 12 inputs grouped into long or short sections. Inputs are available for the usual minimum profit and stop-loss as well as trade, modes, presets, reports and lots of calibrations. The inputs are numerous, I’m aware. Unfortunately, at this time, TradingView does not offer any other method to get data in the script. The usual initialization files such as cnf, cfg, ini, json and xml files are currently unsupported.
Example configurations for various instruments along with a detailed PDF user manual is available.
it has no repaint i guaranty this, and you can have 10 days free with comment and check it by yourself
One issue that comes up when comparing the strategy with the study is that the strategy trades show on the chart one bar later than the study. This problem is due to the fact that “strategy.entry()” and “strategy_close()” do not execute on the same bar called. The study, on the other hand, has no such limitation since there are no position routines. However, alerts that are subsequently fired off when triggered in the study are dispatched from the TradingView servers one bar later from the study plot. Therefore the alert you actually receive on your cell phone matches the strategy plot but is one bar later than the study plot.
Please be aware that the data source matters. Cryptocurrency has no central tick repository so each exchange supplies TradingView its feed. Even though it is the same symbol the quality of the data and subsequently the bars that are supplied to the chart varies with the exchange. This script will absolutely produce different results on different data feeds of the same symbol. Be sure to backtest this script on the same data you intend to receive alerts for. Any example settings I share with you will always have the exchange name used to generate the test results.
🟡 Usage
It sends long and short signals with pyramid orders of up to 3, meaning that the strategy can trigger up to 3 orders in the same direction. Good risk and money management.
It's important to note that the strategy combines 2 systems working together (Long and LongX). Let’s describe the specific features of this strategy.

🔴 CONCLUSION
We believe that success lies in the association of the user with the indicator, opposed to many traders who have the perspective that the indicator itself can make them become profitable. The reality is much more complicated than that.
The aim is to provide an indicator comprehensive, customizable, and intuitive enough that any trader can be led to understand this truth and develop an actionable perspective of technical indicators as support tools for decision making.

LYFX-GOLD-15MIndicator Operation Method:
The indicator provides a buy signal when the price stabilizes above the moving averages. It should be close to the averages at the same time to ensure a close stop loss.
When the conditions are met, a long trade is opened, and the buy signal appears on the indicator. The stop loss is placed with the red line, and the targets are indicated with the blue balloons. Usually, the first target is twice the stop loss, and the second target is three times the stop loss.
This indicator is one of the most powerful indicators for monitoring price explosions in gold.
For clarification, this indicator is used (according to its default settings) exclusively for gold and only on the 15-minute timeframe. The indicator is created by Mr. Layth Al-Muhandis:
The indicator provides a very close stop loss compared to the first and second targets. I recommend adhering strictly to the stop loss and securing the trade after achieving profits.
This is a simple explanation of how the indicator works.

Multi MAs mit LabelA MA (Moving Average) is useful to identify a trend of an assets. The TradingView builtin indicator "Exponential Moving Average" is useful, but limited in some aspects:
Bound to the active timeframe (e.g. h1)
One MA per indicator instance. Makes it confusing when using multiple
In reality to want to have multiple MAs with different types (EMA, SMA), length and timeframes on your chart to identify trading opportunities. As an example you can use the daily EMA12 and EMA21 to identify the trend and EMA200 on the h4 to enter a trade. That's what this script is used for.
The provided script is an extension to the indicator powered by chipmonk (link to profile below). The original script let you add up to 8 EMAs that can be bound to any timeframe and length. The timeframe and length is displayed on the chart next to EMA.
Unfortunately you can only add EMAs (Exponential Moving Averages) and no SMAs (Simple Moving Averages). That's why the script was extended. You can now choose the type (EMA or SMA) for up to 8 MAs.

Trend Change IndicatorThe Trend Change Indicator is an all-in-one, user-friendly trend-following tool designed to identify bullish and bearish trends in asset prices. It features adjustable input values and a built-in alert system that promptly notifies investors of potential shifts in both short-term and long-term price trends. This alert system is crucial for helping less active investors correctly position themselves ahead of major trend shifts and assists in risk management after a trend is established. It's important to note that this indicator is most effective with assets that historically exhibit strong trends.
At the heart of this tool is the interaction between the 30-day and 60-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMA). A bullish trend is indicated in green when the 30-day EMA is above the 60-day EMA, while a bearish trend is signaled in red when the 30-day EMA is below the 60-day EMA. The appearance of gray alerts users to potential shifts in the current trend as the EMAs converge, falling below the Average True Range (ATR) safety margin. This analysis is conducted across both hourly and daily timeframes, with the 4-hour timeframe providing early signals for daily trend changes. The band visually represents the interaction between the daily EMAs and is also displayed in the second row of the table, with the first row showing the same EMA interaction on the 4-hour timeframe.
This indicator also includes a 140-day (20-week) Simple Moving Average (SMA), visually represented by a line with predictive dots. This feature significantly enhances the investor's ability to understand long-term trends in asset prices, offering forward-looking insights by projecting the SMA value 10 days into the future. The value of this forecast lies in interpreting the slope of the dots; upward trending dots suggest a bullish underlying trend, while downward trending dots indicate a bearish trend. Generally, prices above the SMA signal bullishness, and prices below indicate bearishness.
In summary, the Trend Change Indicator is a comprehensive solution for identifying price trends and managing risk. Its intuitive, color-coded design makes it an indispensable tool for traders and investors who aim to be well-positioned ahead of trend shifts and manage risk once a trend has been established. While it has proven historically valuable in trending markets such as cryptocurrencies, tech stocks, and commodities, it is advisable to use this indicator in conjunction with other technical analysis tools for a more comprehensive and well-rounded decision-making process.
MoonFlag BTC Daily Swing PredictorThis script mainly works on BTC on the daily timeframe. Other coins also show similar usefulness with this script however, BTC on the daily timeframe is the main design for this script.
(Please note this is not trading advice this is just comments about how this indicator works.)
This script is predictive. It colors the background yellow when the script calculates a large BTC swing is potentially about to happen. It does not predict in which direction the swing will occur but it leads the price action so can be useful for leveraged trades. When the background gets colored with vertical yellow lines - this shows that a largish price swing is probably going to occur.
The scripts also shades bands around the price action that are used to estimate an acceptable volatility at any given time. If the bands are wide that means price action is volatile and large swings are not easily predicted. Over time, with reducing volatility, these price action bands narrow and then at a set point or percentage (%) which can be set in the script settings, the background gets colored yellow. This indicates present price action is not volatile and a large price swing is potentially going to happen in the near future. When price action breaks through the narrowing bands, the background is no longer presented because this is seen as an increase in volatility and a considerable portion of the time, a large sudden drop in price action or momentous gain in price is realized.
This indicator leads price action. It predicts that a swing is possibly going to happen in the near future. As the indicator works on the BTC daily, this means on a day-to-day basis if the bands continually narrow - a breakout is more likely to happen. In order to see how well this indicator works, have a look at the results on the screenshot provided. Note the regions where vertical yellow lines are present on the price action - and then look after these to see if a sizeable swing in price has occurred.
To use this indicator - wait until yellow vertical lines are presented on the BTC daily. Then use your experience to determine which way the price action might swing and consider entering a trade or leveraged trade in this direction. Alternatively wait a while to see in which direction the break-out occurs and considering and attempt to trade with this. Sometimes swings can be unexpected and breakout in one direction before then swinging much larger in the other. Its important to remember/consider that this indicator works on the BTC daily timeframe, so any consideration of entering a trade should be expected to cover a duration over many days or weeks, or possibly months. A large swing is only estimated every several plus months.
Most indicators are based on moving averages. A moving average is not predictive in the sense in that it lags price actions. This indicator creates bands that are based on the momentum of the price action. A change in momentum of price action therefore causes the bands to widen. When the bands narrow this means that the momentum of the price action is steady and price action volatility has converged/reduced over time. With BTC this generally means that a large swing in price action is going to occur as momentum in price action then pick-up again in one direction or another. Trying to view this using moving averages is not easy as a moving average lags price action which means that it is difficult to predict any sudden movements in price action ahead of when they might occur. Although, moving averages will converge over time in a similar manner as the bands calculated by this script. This script however, uses the price action momentum in a predictive manner to estimate where the price action might go based on present price momentum. This script therefore reacts to reduced volatility in price action much faster than a set of moving averages over various timescales can achieve.

Golden Cross and Death Cross with ProbabilityThe Advanced Golden and Death Crossover Indicator offers traders a powerful tool for identifying potential buy and sell signals through the classic technical analysis method of moving average crossovers. This script enhances decision-making by dynamically changing the chart background color in response to Golden (bullish) and Death (bearish) crossovers, providing a visual representation of the market's momentum.
Features:
Golden and Death Crossover Detection: Utilizes a 50-period SMA and a 200-period SMA to identify potential buy (golden cross) and sell (death cross) points.
Continuous Background Coloring: Changes the chart's background color to green for golden crosses and red for death crosses, offering an intuitive grasp of market trends.
Customizable Lookback Period: Allows users to adjust the lookback period for calculating the success rate of each crossover, making the indicator adaptable to various trading strategies.
Success Rate Calculation: Provides an additional layer of analysis by calculating the historical success rate of crossovers within the specified lookback period.
Instructions:
Adding the Indicator: Search for "Advanced Golden and Death Crossover Indicator" in the TradingView Indicators & Strategies library and add it to your chart.
Customization: Access the indicator settings to adjust the lookback period according to your trading preferences.
Interpretation: Use the continuous background color as a guide to market conditions, with green indicating bullish momentum and red indicating bearish momentum. The success rate of past crossovers can help assess the reliability of the signals.
How the Script Works:
The Advanced Golden and Death Crossover Indicator operates by continuously monitoring two key moving averages (MAs) on your chart: a short-term (50-period) SMA and a long-term (200-period) SMA. Here's a step-by-step breakdown of its functionality:
Crossover Detection:
Golden Cross: When the short-term MA crosses above the long-term MA, indicating potential bullish momentum, the script identifies this as a Golden Cross signal.
Death Cross: Conversely, when the short-term MA crosses below the long-term MA, suggesting potential bearish momentum, the script flags this as a Death Cross signal.
Background Coloring:
Upon detecting a Golden Cross, the script changes the chart background to green, visually representing a bullish market condition.
Upon detecting a Death Cross, the chart background turns red, indicating bearish market conditions.
This color change remains in effect until the next crossover event, providing a continuous visual cue of the market's trend direction.
Success Rate Calculation:
The script calculates the historical success rate of these crossovers within a user-defined lookback period. This metric helps assess the reliability of the signals based on past performance.
Customization:
Users have the flexibility to adjust the lookback period for the success rate calculation, allowing for customization according to individual trading strategies and risk preferences.
Application in Trading Analysis:
Traders can use this indicator as part of their technical analysis toolkit to make informed decisions about entry and exit points. The visual cues from the continuous background coloring, combined with the success rate of past signals, provide a comprehensive overview of market trends and crossover reliability. It’s important for traders to combine this indicator with other analysis tools and consider broader market conditions to optimize their trading strategy.

Trend Sentinel BarrierEveryone in the market wants to take profits from the trend. It is easy to think but hard to execute. In fact, some callbacks or rebounds may cause you to close the position out of fear and let you miss bigger profits.
Indicator: Trend Sentinel Barri er solves this problem for you! It use AI algorithm to help you seize profits.
It is a trend indicator, using AI algorithm to calculate the cumulative trading volume of bulls and bears, identify trend direction and opportunities, and calculate short-term average cost in combination with changes of turnover ratio in multi-period trends, so as to grasp the profit from the trend more effectively without being cheated.
💠Usage:
Signal: "BUY" means bullish trend, "SELL" means bearish trend.
Support and resistance range: "red area" represents strong support or resistance for long-term fluctuation costs, and "blue area" represents moderate support of resistance for short-term fluctuation costs.
🎈Tip I:
When the BUY and SELL signal appear, it means that the direction of the trend will change, and the color of the candles will also change. Don't care about the color of the candles, let's just focus on the price, support and resistance.
🎈Tip II:
Take the BUY signal as an example. When the signal appears and you hold long position, you need to pay attention to the blue and red support range. If the price returns to this range but there is no SELL signal, you can consider holding the long position for a while.
If the price pump with long candles, and then pulls back to the range, you need to be vigilant. You can consider taking the profit when the price breakthrough the support range, or wait for the SELL signal.
🎈Advanced tip I:
In most cases, the trend market is not smooth, there will be a lot of callbacks or rebounds, but because of this, we have many opportunities to do swing trading.
Continuing to take the BUY signal as an example, when this signal appears, every time the price falls back to the blue or red support area, you can consider adding positions. There are two ways to deal with these newly added positions.
One is to do swing trading. You can consider taking profits near the previous high when the price rises. The advantage of this operation is that you can get more profits in the same trend market.
The second is to continue to hold it as the bottom position until the general trend is completely over, and then close the position after obtaining huge profits.
🎈Advanced tip II:
When using advanced tips I, you can consider adding some momentum indicators to assist you in judging whether pullbacks or rebounds have failed, so as to increase your position. Similarly, the momentum indicator can also help you find a take-profit point for newly added positions
