What is the Bond Screener?

You can open the Bond Screener from the main menu:

When you click on the screener header, you can select an option and open a list of custom and popular templates. The Popular screens section contains popular templates with filters:

The screener contains specific indicators for analyzing bonds.

Let's look at each of the categories of specific indicators:

- Security Info: The section provides key characteristics of the bond, including its type, issuance parameters, yield, and terms. Metrics, such as Yield to maturity %, Term to maturity, and Redemption type, help assess the instrument’s attractiveness, risk, and liquidity;

- Ratings: Here, you will find credit ratings for the bond and the issuer and related forecasts. These ratings are crucial for evaluating the instrument's reliability and assessing default risk;

- Issuer: This section contains details about the bond issuer, including the country, sector, industry, ticker (if the issuer has exchange-listed stock), and beneficiary. This allows you to assess the reliability of the issuer based on geography and industry;

- Amounts: Information on face value, outstanding amount, and minimum investment requirements is provided here. These details are essential for analyzing the issuance scale, liquidity, and market accessibility of the bond;

- Coupon: This section describes coupon payments, including their type, frequency, and schedules. It helps evaluate expected income and account for the specifics of payment calculations and schedules;

- Bond features: Here, you can find the structural features of the bond, such as the presence of call/put options and a sinking fund, redemption type, early redemption options, ranking, and details on the nearest redemption date and price. This information allows for an assessment of the bond's flexibility, priority, and early redemption opportunities.
