Trend Direction Helper (ZigZag and S/R and HH/LL labels)Hey everyone
First of all, I'd like to thank Ricardo Santos, Backtest Rookies for the inspiration for this script.
Actually, most of it is coming from them and I only mixed them up (and added my secret sauce ^^). If some of you are not thinking about a trading secret sauce, please get serious for a moment :)
Some of you asked me how I do to set the trend direction. You all understood that if you get an UP label, then the price should go up and vice-versa for down.
But it's not so easy to define the good signals for each asset and each timeframe. I'm going to repeat what I said yesterday because ... well... that's what trading is about
So quoting myself here "The inputs set by default will have to be changed for your asset/timeframe and can't be generic for everything. You have to play with the inputs until the signals will make sense to you
The indicator/strategy with a unique configuration that you'll never check or update according to the market condition DOES NOT exit. "
BUT... a bit of patience and practice and you might do wonders.
The Method
I never realized until now but by connecting the higher highs/lower lows, I was drawing zigzag lines.
The Zig Zag Master is Ricardo Santos . Please give him a follow, he's awesome
For those who don't want to draw on the chart or (my preferred choice) need some inspiration to define your trend directions, this script is for YOU (and your family, your pet, your girlfriend/boyfriend, ...)
I think that each asset/timeframe chart has its own history. What worked in a post could work in the future.
In that regard, if a trend direction worked in the past, that's the parameter that I'll use to trade with it in a demo account and make sure it's relevant. If not then I will adjust
If you're trading with new indicators or a new method right away on your real trading account, you're gonna have a bad time imgflip.com
Lines EVERYWHERE
The script draws the classical horizontal pivots + the zig zag lines + the Higher Highs/Lower Lows label in just 1 script. I'm very excited to share a script (on which I coded 100 lines out of 500) but no one else did it
The horizontal pivots part are coming from Backtest Rookies
For more security, you can add a pullback on a moving average after getting a signal. Pullbacks are necessary to limit any eventual loss or maximize your gains by getting in the trend sooner.
I really give you a solid method and a great script in my opinion. 6 years of experience given away for FREE :p (when Dave will start thinking as a business man instead :O)
Does it repaint ?
Getting this question twice a day. You guys are obsessed with the repainting :)
Short answer, yes because it will calculate the pivots and zig zags whenever new higher highs/lower lows will be formed.
However, the trend direction code is based on the candle close so it shouldn't repaint. If it does, please let me know
See you all on Monday
Love you all
Dave

Support/Resistance (Rupprecht)Set the maximum data points to look back for a support resistance line, then set the pivot point threshold and your off to the races.
Very effective solution to have your support resistance points automatically show up on your chart. A good tip is to include 2 or 3 of this indicator on your chart with varying levels of degree for support and resistance categorized by color.
Best of luck :)
Automatic Support & ResistanceThe indicator attempts at automatic detection of support and resistance levels by identifying large swings/pivots in historical price action. These tops and bottoms in price action show where lots of buyers or sellers came into the market and might act as future levels of support or resistance. By default, the code detects the last 3 significant swing highs and the last 3 swing lows. It then places lines on the chart to highlight those levels.
Once you are comfortable with the code base and how the indicator operates, you may wish to expand upon it. One obvious addition to make would be inputs for the "Left Bars", "Right Bars" and "Quick Right" variables so that you can tune the indicator according to your own taste.
Feel free to tweak the code and let everyone know in the comment section if you are able to improvise it.
Happy trading:-)
Support/Resistance Zones x3Support and Resistance Levels + Zones for 3 time frames, based on volume at fractal levels with Zones based on wick size which is a true reflection of a Zone when compared to other S/R Zone scripts which only use a thick line not based on anything.
Original script is thanks to synapticex I have just migrated to version 3, heavily modified it and added Support and Resistance Zones.
Multiple EMA Daily (60->120) - BTC bull market supportThis script shows areas of strong support during a BTC bull market.
Keltner ZonesThis is an indicator that draws support and resistance zones / levels based on price action in and around Keltner Channels.
There are 3 different modes;
Draw zones based on price breaking the upper band
Draw zones based on price breaking the lower band
Draw zones if price stays within the bands for a prolonged period of time.
You can also decide if you want the indicator to paint zones or levels. The Zones can grow rather large if there is a volatility shock since they are drawn using the true range around the trigger price.
Upper Band Zones
Lower Band Zones
Congestion Zone
AVERAGE MULTI_SMAIndicator returns an average of 5 SMAs. an interesting point that I have noticed that the price has several times reacted on it.
Note 1: Do not just use this as a criterion for buying and selling, use as one more aid.
Note 2: It is possible to leave in the chart all the averages, if you feel it necessary.
------------------------------------//--------------------------------------------------
Indicador retorna uma média de 5 SMAs. um ponto interessante que tenho notado que o preço tem diversas vezes reagido nele.
Observação 1: Não use apenas isso como critério para compra e venda, use como mais um auxilio.
Observação 2: É possivel deixar no grafico todas as médias, caso você ache necessário.

Grimes Modified MACD Supply DemandA follower of mine asked me if I could make a version of my www.tradingview.com script using the MACD. Well it just so happens I was making a few modifications to my MACD script: just as this question came up so I went ahead and threw this together.
The MACD that triggers the SR zones is pictured below, with key trigger points encircled to illustrate how it works.
Volume Based S/RI got a question if it would be possible to Automatically draw S/R levels based on Volume rather than RSI as I had earlier done in this script;
Well it certainly is and it looks as though it might even be tradeable.
The indicator compares the size of volume bars so that if there is a noticeable increase in volume (noticeable here meaning above the indicator threshold) it marks the bar high and low prior to the bigger volume candle.
HTF High/LowThis simple script draws the previous higher timeframe candle high/low to your chart.
You can also make the script paint the zone between the low/open and the high/close.
Quarters TheoryIndicator that lets you to put Whole (red), Half (blue) and Quarter (green) levels on a chart, which work as support/resistance levels. Defaults are only for EURUSD, for other symbols you have to change the settings. First input is "Starting Price (Bottom)", which should be the lowest point you want your levels to be. There are only 10 Whole levels on this indicator, but if you want you could add them from pine editor. The next input is "Next Whole Level" this is the price from one whole level to next whole level, for example for EURUSD it is 0.01. The third input is for removing the quarter lines (green lines), if you want to remove them set this option to "0", otherways leave this to "1".
This indicator looks very good on JPY and NZD pairs.
Works on long term too:
Learned from him: www.youtube.com
Quarters TheoryThis indicator helps you to put Quarter Theory lines on your chart. It's defaults are meant for EURUSD , but you can change it for other charts. There are 16 lines in this indicator.
For EURUSD recommended settings right now are: Starting Price (Bottom):1.12 and Gap: 0.0025
USDCAD: Starting Price (Bottom):1.315 and Gap: 0.005
EURAUD: Starting Price (Bottom):1.59 and Gap: 0.005
USDJPY: Starting Price (Bottom):107 and Gap: 0.5
USDCHF: Starting Price (Bottom):0.97 and Gap: 0.0025
BTCUSD: Starting Price (Bottom):3200 and Gap: 100
XAUUSD: Starting Price (Bottom): 1230 and Gap: 5

Ichimoku A/D Breakoutthis is basically a clone of the super a/d indicator but we're using a standard ichimoku as the source for the trend instead of the supertrend indicator
RSI Based Automatic Supply and DemandA script that draws supply and demand zones based on the RSI indicator. For example if RSI is under 30 a supply zone is drawn on the chart and extended for as long as there isn't a new crossunder 30. Same goes for above 70. The threshold which by default is set to 30, which means 30 is added to 0 and subtracted from 100 to give us the classic 30/70 threshold on RSI, can be set in the indicator settings.
By only plotting the Demand Below Supply Above indicator you get automatic SD level that is updated every time RSI reaches either 30 or 70. If you plot the Resistance Zone / Support Zone you get an indicator that extends the zone instead of overwrite the earlier zone. Due to the zone being extended the chart can get a bit messy if there isn't a clear range going on.
There is also a "confirmation bars" setting where you can tell the script how many bars under over 30 / 70 you want before a zone is drawn.
Here is an image of only using the "Demand Below / Supply Above" plot.
As you can see, this could be useful "Price Flow" indicator, where we would only short if a zone appears below another zone, or long if two zones in a row are going up, like stairs.
