Dynamic Time Period CandlesThis indicator gives the dynamic history of the current price over various time frames as a series of candles on the right of the display, with optional lines on the chart, so that you can assess the current trend more easily.
In the library I found lots of indicators that looked at the previous xx time period candle, but they then immediately switched to the new xx time candle when it started to be formed. This indicator looks back at the rolling previous time period. With this indicator, you can clearly see how price has been behaving over time.
IMPORTANT SETUP INFO:
Initially, you must go into the settings and select the timeframe (in minutes) that your chart is displaying. If you don't do this then the indicator will look back the wrong number of candles and give you totally wrong results.
You can then setup how high you want the candle labels to be on the chart.
Then you can select settings for each candle that you want displayed. Anywhere between 1 and 5 different timeframes can be displayed on the chart at once.
I initially published an indicator called 'Dynamic 4-Hour Candle (Accurate Highs and Lows)', but this new indicator is so different that it needs to be forked and published as a separate indicator. The reasons for this are below:
The original indicator only looked at the previous 4 hour time period. This indicator allows the user to select any time period that they choose.
The original indicator only looked at one time period. This indicator allows to select between one and five time periods on the chart at once.
The original indicator did not put lines on the chart to show the lookback period and the highs and lows of that time period. This indicator does both those things.
The name of the original indicator in no way now describes what this new indicator is capable of, and would be very misleading to anyone who came across it. This new indicator has a name that much more accurately reflects what its' purpose and functionality is.
Candle
First 5 Minutes Open/Close LinesThis very simple indicator paints lines at the high and low of the first 5m candle of the session. It is primarily intended for big cap NYSE traded stocks with high volume. I wrote this indicator to save me the trouble of manually drawing the lines each day.
The lines drawn at the 5m high/low will remain constant regardless of which timeframe you switch to. In the example screenshot, we are looking at the 1m timeframe. This helps us switch effortlessly between different timeframes to see if a given price movement meets our entry criteria.
In addition to drawing lines at the first 5m high/low, it will optionally paint two zones, one each around the high and low. The boundaries of this zone are configurable and expressed as a percentage of the total movement of the first 5m bar. By default, it is set to 25%.
This indicator is based on the concept that the first 5m bar always has massive volume which helps us infer that price may react around the extremes of that movement. The basic strategy works something like this:
- You identify the high timeframe (HTF) trend direction of the stock
- You wait for the first 5m candle of the session to close
- You wait for price to puncture through the outer boundary of the zone marked by the indicator.
- You enter when price retraces to the high, or low, which marks the midpoint of the punctured zone.
- Only enter long on stocks in a HTF uptrend, and short on stocks in an HTF downtrend.
- Use market structure to identify stop loss and take profit targets
Note: Use at your own risk. ICT Setup 02 [TradingFinder] Breaker Blocks + Reversal Candles🔵 Introduction
The "Breaker Block" concept, widely utilized in ICT (Inner Circle Trader) technical analysis, is a crucial tool for identifying reversal points and significant market shifts. Originating from the "Order Block" concept, Breaker Blocks help traders pinpoint support and resistance levels. These blocks are essential for understanding market trends and recognizing optimal entry and exit points.
A Breaker Block is essentially a failed Order Block that changes its role when price action breaks through it. When an Order Block fails to hold as a support or resistance level, it reverses its function, becoming a Breaker Block.
There are two primary types : Bullish Breaker Blocks and Bearish Breaker Blocks. These Breaker Blocks align with the prevailing market trend and indicate potential entry points after a liquidity sweep or a shift in market structure.
Understanding and applying the Breaker Block strategy enables traders to capitalize on the behavior of institutional investors, enhancing their trading outcomes.
Bullish Setup :
Bearish Setup :
🔵 How to Use
The ICT Setup 02 indicator designed to automate the identification of Bullish and Bearish Breaker Blocks. This tool enables traders to easily spot these blocks on a chart and utilize them for entering or exiting trades. Below is a breakdown of how to use this indicator in both bullish and bearish setups.
🟣 Bullish Breaker Block Setup
A Bullish Breaker Block setup is identified in an uptrend, where it serves as a potential entry point. This setup occurs when a Bearish Order Block fails and the price moves above the high of that Order Block. In this scenario, the previously bearish Order Block turns into a Bullish Breaker Block, which now acts as a support level for the price.
To trade a Bullish Breaker Block, wait for the price to retest this newly formed support level. Confirmation of the uptrend can be achieved by analyzing lower time frames for further market structure shifts or other bullish indicators.
A successful retest of the Bullish Breaker Block provides a high-probability entry point for a long trade, as it signals institutional support. Traders often place their stop-loss below the low of the Breaker Block zone to minimize risk.
🟣 Bearish Breaker Block Setup
A Bearish Breaker Block setup, conversely, is used in a downtrend to identify potential sell opportunities. This setup forms when a Bullish Order Block fails, and the price moves below the low of that Order Block.
Once this Order Block is broken, it reverses its role and becomes a Bearish Breaker Block, providing resistance to the price as it pushes downward. For a Bearish Breaker Block trade, wait for the price to retest this resistance level.
A confirmation of the downtrend, such as a market structure shift on a lower time frame or additional bearish signals, strengthens the setup. The Bearish Breaker Block retest provides an opportunity to enter a short position, with a stop-loss placed just above the high of the Breaker Block zone.
🔵 Settings
Pivot Period : This setting controls the look-back period used to identify pivot points that contribute to the detection of Order Blocks. A higher period captures longer-term pivots, while a lower period focuses on more recent price action. Adjusting this parameter allows traders to fine-tune the indicator to match their trading time frame.
Breaker Block Validity Period : This setting defines how long a Breaker Block remains valid based on the number of bars elapsed since its formation. Increasing the validity period keeps Breaker Blocks active for a longer duration, which can be useful for higher time frame analysis.
Mitigation Level BB : This option lets traders choose the level of the Order Block at which the price is expected to react. Options like "Proximal," "50% OB," and "Distal" adjust the zone where a reaction may occur, offering flexibility in setting up the entry and stop-loss levels.
Breaker Block Refinement : The refinement option refines the Breaker Block zone to display a more precise range for aggressive or defensive trading approaches. The "Aggressive" mode provides a tighter range for risk-tolerant traders, while the "Defensive" mode expands the zone for those with a more conservative approach.
🔵 Conclusion
The Breaker Block indicator provides traders with a sophisticated tool for identifying key reversal zones in the market. By leveraging Breaker Blocks, traders can gain insights into institutional order flow and predict critical support and resistance levels.
Using Breaker Blocks in conjunction with other ICT concepts, like Fair Value Gaps or liquidity sweeps, enhances the reliability of trading signals. This indicator empowers traders to make informed decisions, aligning their trades with institutional moves in the market.
As with any trading strategy, it is crucial to incorporate proper risk management, using stop-losses and position sizing to minimize potential losses. The Breaker Block strategy, when applied with discipline and thorough analysis, serves as a powerful addition to any trader’s toolkit.

Previous Day Max 15-Mins Move High/LowIntroduction
This TradingView script is designed to help traders quickly identify significant price movement levels from the previous trading day based on the 15-minute time frame. It finds the largest high-to-low range of any 15-minute candle from the prior day and draws horizontal lines at those levels. These levels can help traders set potential support and resistance zones, aiding in intraday trading decisions and market analysis.
In many trading strategies, significant levels from previous sessions are crucial for determining potential support and resistance points. By identifying the largest price move from the prior day’s 15-minute candles, this script can highlight areas of market interest where volatility was at its highest. Traders can use these levels to:
Anticipate potential reversal points.
Plan entries and exits based on key support and resistance.
Gauge market sentiment by observing how the price reacts to these levels during the current session.
This can be especially valuable in fast-paced trading environments or when analyzing shorter time frames. The lines extend across all time frames, so you can use this script on higher time frames as well to see previous-day levels while zooming out.
Wick/Tail Candle MeasurementsThis indicator runs on trading view. It was programmed with pine script v5.
Once the indicator is running you can scroll your chart to any year or date on the chart, then for the input select the date your interested in knowing the length of the tails and wicks from a bar and their lengths are measured in points.
To move the measurement, you can select the vertical bar built into the indicator AFTER clicking the green label and moving it around using the vertical bar *only*. You must click the vertical bar in the middle of the label to move the indicator calculation to another bar. You can also just select the date using the input as mentioned. This indicator calculates just one bar at a time.
measurements are from bar OPEN to bar HIGH for measured WICKS regardless of the bar being long or short and from bar OPEN to bar LOW for measured TAILS also regardless of the bar being long or short.
This indicator calculates tails and wicks including the bar body in the calculations. Basically showing you how much the market moved in a certain direction for the entire duration of that Doji candle.
Its designed to measure completed bars on the daily futures charts. (Dow Jones, ES&P500, Nasdaq, Russell 2000, etc) Although it may work well on other markets. The indicator could easily be tweaked in order to work well with other markets. It is not designed for forex markets currently.

Candle Body Support/Resistance [LuxAlgo]The Candle Body Support/Resistance indicator is a tool that provides Support/Resistance levels from high-volatility candles, a concept originally described by Steve Nison in "Beyond Candlesticks".
Users can define the candle body percentage used to set the detected support/resistance levels. Occurrences of price testing the returned levels are highlighted using user-customizable dots.
🔶 USAGE
Support/Resistance levels are drawn from volatile candles, that is candles having a body (range between opening and closing price) whose magnitude is larger than the Volatility Threshold , which is determined by the multiplicative factor of an ATR (Average True Range) using a user set length.
The level starts from the opening price +/- a percentage of the open-close range. Users can adjust the percentage of the candle body used as support/resistance levels respectively, with higher percentage values returning levels prone to get reached sooner by the price.
A test is considered valid when a wick passes through the Support/Resistance level while the closing price is not breaking it.
Two modes are included, Trailing and Historical , both affecting the displayed elements of the indicator, these are described in the sub-section below.
🔹 Historical
The Historical Mode will draw a separate line from every Volatile Candle . When this line is tested, a dot will be drawn.
In the above example, the red resistance line was tested once until a bullish volatile candle formed, which closed just below the resistance level. The resistance level was tested again, after which the newly created support level was broken quickly, and the price decreased. These levels proved helpful later, acting as resistance/support levels (illustrated by the extra manually drawn dashed white lines).
To prevent cluttering Support/Resistance , lines will be deleted when the line is mitigated and hasn't been tested.
When a Support/Resistance line reaches its Maximum Line Length , it will also be deleted when it has not been tested.
🔹 Trailing
When a new volatile candle of the same type (bullish/bearish) appears while the Support/Resistance isn't broken, this line will be updated with the values of the new volatile candle. This creates a trailing line and a less cluttered chart.
Unlike the Historical mode , a line will not be deleted after a while or when it is mitigated. Instead, the line won't be updated anymore. A new line will start from the next found volatile candle.
Using the same situation as the Historical Mode example, we can note the future significance of old support/resistance levels (illustrated by the extra manually drawn dashed white lines).
The user can switch between these 2 modes, each offering a unique perspective on the market. This provides a more in-depth examination of the market, enhancing the user's trading analysis.
Using a copy of our indicator while using both modes can also be helpful.
🔶 DETAILS
The Support level is the opening price of a bullish volatile candle plus a user-set percentage of the candle's body, while the Resistance level is the opening price of a bearish volatile candle minus a percentage of the candle's body.
The following example illustrates the ATR with the multiplicative factor (Volatility Threshold) where the body of Volatile candles exceeds the ATR limits. Changing the Volatility Threshold and ATR length gives users extra flexibility to adjust to their needs.
🔹 Max Line Length
When using the Historical Mode and the duration of a displayed level reaches the user-set Max Line Length value, the level will return to the last test or be deleted when it has not been tested.
🔶 SETTINGS
Display Mode: Display mode of the indicator.
Support %: Sets the distance of the Support Line from the opening price relative to the candle body.
Resistance %: Sets the distance of the Resistance Line from the opening price relative to the candle body.
🔹 Filter
Length ATR: Amount of bars for the calculation of the Average True Range.
Volatility Threshold: multiplicative factor of ATR.
Max Line Length: Maximum allowed duration/length (in bars) of a Support/Resistance level.
Reversal Candlestick Structure [LuxAlgo]The Reversal Candlestick Structure indicator detects multiple candlestick patterns occurring when trends are most likely to experience a reversal in real-time. The reversal detection method includes various settings allowing users to adjust the reversal detection algorithm more precisely.
A dashboard showing the percentage of patterns detected as reversals is also included.
🔶 USAGE
Candlestick patterns are ubiquitous to technical analysts, allowing them to detect trend continuations, reversals, and indecision.
The proposed tool effectively detects reversals by using the confluence between candlestick patterns and a reversal detection method based on the stochastic oscillator, acting as a filter for the patterns. If a candlestick pattern occurs while conditions suggest a potential reversal then the pattern is highlighted.
The displayed candle coloring allows users to observe the reversal detection method, with colored candles indicating potential reversals.
Users wanting to detect longer-term reversals can use a higher "Trend Length" setting, this can however lead to an increased amount of displayed candlestick patterns.
To prevent false positives users also have control over a "Threshold" setting in a range between (0, 100), with values closer to 100 preventing candlesticks from being detected at the start of trends.
The "Warmup Length" serves a similar purpose, and aims to prevent sudden moves to be classified as reversals. Higher values of this setting will require trends to be established for a longer period of time for reversal conditions to be detected.
🔹 Dashboard
To evaluate the role of individual candlestick patterns as potential reversal signals relative to the proposed reversal detection method, a dashboard displaying the percentage of candlestick patterns displayed (that occur when a potential reversal is detected) over the total amount detected.
Hovering on the dashboard cells of the "Reversal %" column allows displaying the total amount of patterns detected.

HTF Candle Consistency [LuxAlgo]The HTF Candle Consistency indicator tracks the most recent candle sentiment in up to 10 Higher Timeframe (HTF) and colors the user chart candle bodies based on the dominating sentiment. Users can weigh specific timeframes more significantly.
Additionally, the script provides an HTF dashboard that displays the current directional readouts for each selected timeframe to allow for an independent HTF analysis.
🔶 USAGE
Analyzing the movement and direction of higher timeframe candles can help filter out noisy variation from the price, and could be utilized to time trades better. When the majority of recent candles from the selected timeframes are bullish, the candle body will be colored in green, if this majority is bearish it will be colored in red.
Using the "Tricolor" coloring mode introduces a third coloring option, and is used when there isn't a clear sentiment majority across the selected timeframes, this option effectively allows for filtering out unwanted trends.
Users can control the variations to be filtered out depending on their chart timeframe and the enabled HTF's in the settings. Using low timeframes with higher HTF's will gray out a larger amount of candles, disabling these timeframes, changing them, or giving higher weighting to lower HTF's will allow for obtaining more dominance detection, and as such less grayed-out candles.
As seen above, the weight function allows for precise control over the specific elements being analyzed.
This indicator also features a dashboard for viewing each timeframe's direction at the same time. By doing so, it allows for better judgment on the specific elements composing the current HTF majority.
🔶 DETAILS
This indicator is only intended for Higher Timeframe Analysis, all the input timeframes should be kept equal to or lower than your current chart timeframe.
NOTE: This is necessary for data accuracy in most multi-timeframe indicators, and is generally a good practice to keep in mind.
As a reminder, the dashboard will display the timeframe in red text if a lower timeframe is detected. It is recommended to change or disable this timeframe for your analysis.
This indicator can support up to 10 timeframes, each with independent weightings.
NOTE: When a timeframe is disabled, the dashboard will no longer display that timeframe, and it will not be used in calculations.
🔹 Candle Coloring
Candle color can be selected between 3 modes.
Tricolor (Default): Changes the color based on a 3-part split of the possible data sum range.
Bicolor: Changes the color based on the sum being greater than or less than 0.
Gradient: Uses a 3-color gradient to determine the candle color based on the possible data sum range.

Volume Delta [hapharmonic]Volume Delta: Volume Delta is an indicator that simplifies how you analyze trading volumes and the percentage of buy-sell activities effortlessly.
As a trader or market analyst, understanding underlying volume and trade flows is critical. The Volume Delta indicator provides thorough insight into both the total volume and the percentage of buying versus selling within the current candlestick. This information is pivotal for those looking to gauge market momentum and sentiment more effectively.
Additionally, the Volume Delta indicator can plot the candlestick colors based on the percentage of the dominant buying or selling volume. The area between the open and close prices of the candlestick is considered 100% and fills with colors corresponding to the predominant volume at that percentage.
Volume Delta also integrates the concept of Net volume. This component is crucial as it reveals the real market sentiment by calculating the difference between the volume of trades executed at an uptick and those at a downtick.
🟠 Overview
This indicator now displays in two layouts. Recently, Tradingview introduced the "force_overlay=true" function in Pine Script , allowing plots to be moved to the main chart. Thus, all displays are from the same indicator.
🟠 USAGE
From the data displayed in 'plot.style_columns' , the peak area represents the entire volume, accounting for 100%. Within this area, there are two color levels indicating volume. If one type of volume, whether buying or selling, exceeds the other, the larger volume will be positioned behind and the smaller in front. This arrangement prevents the scenario where a higher buying volume obscures the smaller selling volume. Therefore, the two colors can be switched between the front and the back as needed.
As you can see, the 12 and 26-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs) are used, with the Volume Confirmation Length set at 6. Therefore, the crossing of the EMAs proceeds normally, but it is highlighted with three triangular arrows to indicate a high likelihood of a valid crossover. However, if the volume is insufficient, these markers won't be displayed, although the EMA crossover will still occur as usual. This can be useful for using volume to verify the significance of the EMA crossover.
🟠 Setting
If you enable the label, please be aware that the chart size will shrink, causing the candlestick display to become unclear. Therefore, you might need to select "Logarithmic" at the bottom right of your screen, or for mobile applications, press and hold on the price scale and choose "Logarithmic" to adjust the scale appropriately.
Enjoy!

The script also highlights the intrabar price with the maximum trading activity, as well as complementary information.
🔶 USAGE
The tool focuses on intrabar volume to provide more information about the trading activity associated with a candle, without having to use an external volume indicator.
Each indicator components is further explained below:
🔹 Volume Delta
The volume delta is obtained by the difference between buy volume and sell volume, where buy volume is the volume associated with a bullish intrabar candle, and sell volume with a bearish intrabar candle.
Positive volume delta is displayed with a green candle area, while negative delta is displayed with a red candle area.
🔹 Bar Coloring
The script displays VD as a percentage of the whole, or from the candle half, depending on the setting ' Display '.
Bars can be coloured as follows:
Full (100%) when Display is set at ' Full Bar '
Half (50% or 100% of half a bar) when Display is set at ' Half Bar '
A negative VD (more bearish than bullish volume) will fill the bar from the top (or centre) of the bar towards the bottom, and a positive VD will fill a bar from the bottom (or centre) of the bar towards the top.
A negative VD on a green candle will show a red-coloured VD against a green-bordered candle. On the other hand, a positive VD on a red candle will show a green-coloured VD against a red-bordered candle.
Colours for VD sentiment opposite to the candle sentiment can be set differently if desired.
🔹 Highest Volume Price Level
The script displays a white (black on light mode) line highlighting the intrabar price level with the highest volume.
When ' Show Previous Max Volume Price ' is checked, a white (black on light mode) dot is displayed 1 bar to the right.

Both options, LTF or tick data, will show a vertical dotted line where the data starts.
🔹 LTF settings
When ' Data from ' LTF is chosen and ' Auto ' enabled, the LTF will be the nearest possible x times smaller TF than the current TF. When 'Premium' is disabled, the minimum TF will always be 1 minute to ensure TradingView plans lower than Premium don't get an error.
Examples with current Daily TF (when Premium is enabled):
500 : 3 minute LTF
1500 (default): 1 minute LTF
5000: 30 seconds LTF (1 minute if Premium is disabled)
🔹 Notes
Different LTFs give different data, which means different results; this doesn't mean it isn't correct; they are just different data sets.

Three Inside [TradingFinder] 3 Inside Up & Down Chart Patterns🔵 Introduction
"3 inside up" and "3 inside down" denote a duo of candlestick reversal patterns, each comprising three individual candles, commonly observed on candlestick charts.
These patterns manifest as a sequence of three candles, signaling a potential loss of momentum in the current trend and a potential reversal in direction.
This pattern consists of 3 consecutive candles and can be either "bullish" or "bearish".
In the bullish pattern, known as "Inside Up," emerging at the conclusion of a downtrend, the final candle must exhibit bullish characteristics, while the third candle from the end must display bearish traits.
Conversely, in the bearish pattern, termed "Inside Down," occurring at the culmination of an uptrend, the last candle must demonstrate bearish behavior, with the third candle from the end reflecting bullish attributes.
🔵 How to Use
Using this indicator is very simple. Filtering "Strong 3 Inside Bar" and "Weak 3 Inside Bar" is a feature available in the settings section. You can turn the filter "On" or "Off." By default, the "Filter" is set to "On."
" Filter: On ":
" Filter: Off ":
🔵 How to Display
For better display and differentiation of "Strong 3 Inside Bar" and "Weak 3 Inside Bar," when the "Filter: On" is active, the 3 Inside Bars are displayed in green and red colors. When the "Filter: Off" is active, the 3 Inside Bars are displayed in blue and black colors.
Dark Cloud [TradingFinder] Piercing Line Reversal chart Pattern
🔵 Introduction
"Reversal candlestick patterns" are among the Japanese candlestick patterns considered as alerts for a potential change in the current price trend. It is often assumed that by identifying reversal candlestick patterns, the price trend will definitely change, either from bullish to bearish or from bearish to bullish. However, this claim is not entirely accurate, and a change in price trend does not always mean a reversal.
Nonetheless, the importance of reversal candlestick patterns remains significant. By recognizing these patterns, you can better predict changes in the trend with higher probability and make better trading decisions.
🔵 Dark Cloud
The "Dark Cloud" pattern occurs when, after an upward trend, buyers continue to drive the price up in the first candle. However, in the next candle, with sellers entering and increasing selling pressure, the price starts to decrease compared to the close of the previous candle.
This price decrease is significant enough that in the last candle, the price goes lower than the open of the previous candle, serving as a warning sign for a potential change in price trend.
The fundamental principles for the formation of the "Dark Cloud" pattern include :
1.Two candles consisting of a positive candle (first candle) and a negative candle (second candle) whose main body should be above the halfway point of the first candle's main body but does not completely cover it.
2.The color of the main body of the second candle should be opposite to the color of the main body of the first candle.
Factors affecting the strength of the "Dark Cloud" pattern include :
1.The length of the bodies of both candles, especially the second candle, which increases the strength of the pattern.
2.The gap between the two bodies can also indicate the strength of the pattern.
3.The absence of a lower shadow in the second candle also indicates the strength of the pattern.
4.If the pattern forms in a price resistance range, it has more strength.
🔵 Piercing Line
The "Piercing Line" pattern occurs when, after a downward trend, sellers decrease the price by offering their shares on the first day. However, on the next day, with buyers entering and increasing demand, the price starts to increase compared to the close of the previous day.
This increase is significant enough that in the last candle, the price goes higher than the open of the previous day, serving as a warning sign for a reversal in the price trend. Overall, this pattern is the opposite of the "Dark Cloud" pattern and occurs under a bearish trend.
The fundamental principles for the formation of the "Piercing Line" pattern include :
1.Two candles consisting of a negative candle (first candle) and a positive candle (second candle) whose main body should be above the halfway point of the first candle's main body but does not completely cover it.
2.The color of the main body of the second candle should be opposite to the color of the main body of the first candle.
Factors affecting the strength of the "Piercing Line" pattern include :
1.The length of the bodies of both candles, especially the second candle, which increases the strength of the pattern.
2.The gap between the two bodies can also indicate the strength of the pattern.
3.The absence of an upper shadow in the second candle also indicates the strength of the pattern.
4.If the pattern forms in a price support range, it has more strength.
🔵 How to Use
The "green circle" symbol corresponds to the "Strong Piercing Line" signal, the "blue triangle" symbol corresponds to the "Weak Piercing Line" signal, the "red circle" symbol corresponds to the "Strong Dark Cloud" signal, and the "red triangle" symbol corresponds to the "Weak Dark Cloud" signal.
🔵 Setting
Using the "Show Dark Cloud" and "Show Piercing Line" buttons, you can enable or disable the display of Dark Cloud and Piercing Line.
CandleStick [TradingFinder] - All Reversal & Trend Patterns🔵 Introduction
"Candlesticks" patterns are used to predict price movements. We have included 5 of the best candlestick patterns that are common and very useful in "technical analysis" in this script to identify them automatically. The most important advantage of this indicator for users is saving time and high precision in identifying patterns.
These patterns are "Pin Bar," "Dark Cloud," "Piercing Line," "3 Inside Bar," and "Engulfing." By using these patterns, you can predict price movements more accurately and therefore make better decisions in your trades.
🔵 How to Use
Pin Bar : This pattern consists of a Candle where "Open Price," "Close Price," "High Price," and "Low Price" form the "Candle Body," and it also has "Long Shadow" and "Short Shadow." In the visual appearance of the Pin Bar pattern, we have a candle body and a pin bar shadow, where the candle body is smaller relative to the shadow.
Just as the candle body plays an important role in analysis, the pin bar shadow can also be influential. The larger the pin bar shadow, the stronger the expectation of a trend reversal.
When a "bearish pin bar" occurs at resistance or the chart ceiling, it can be predicted that the price trend will be downward. Similarly, at support points and the chart floor, a "bullish pin bar" can indicate an upward price movement.
Additionally, patterns like "Hammer," "Shooting Star," "Hanging Man," and "Inverted Hammer" are types of pin bars. Pin bars are formed in two ways: bullish pin bars have a long lower shadow, and bearish pin bars have a long upper shadow. Important: Displaying "Bullish Pin Bar" is labeled "BuPB," and "Bearish Pin Bar" is labeled "BePB."
Dark Cloud : The Dark Cloud pattern is one type of two-candle patterns that occurs at the end of an uptrend. The 2-candle pattern indicates the shape of this pattern, which actually consists of 2 candles, one bullish and one bearish. This pattern indicates a trend reversal and is quite powerful.
The Dark Cloud pattern is seen when, after a bullish candle at the end of an uptrend, a bearish candle opens at a higher level (weakly, equal, or higher) than the closing point of the bullish candle and finally closes at a point approximately in the middle of the previous candle. In this indicator, the Dark Cloud pattern is identified as "Wick" and "Strong" .
The difference between these two lies in the strictness of their conditions. Important: Strong Dark Cloud is labeled "SDC," and Weak Dark Cloud is labeled "WDC."
Piercing Line : The Piercing candlestick pattern consists of 2 candles, the first being bearish and consistent with the previous trend, and the second being bullish. The conditions of the pattern are such that the first candle is bearish and a price gap is created between the two candles upon the opening of the next candle because its opening price is below (weakly equal to or less than) the closing price of the previous candle.
Additionally, its closing price must be at least 50% above the red candle.
This means that the second candle must penetrate at least 50% into the first candle. Important: Strong Piercing Line is labeled "SPL," and Weak Piercing Line is labeled "WPL."
3 Inside Bar (3 Bar Reversal) : The 3 Inside Bar pattern is a reversal pattern. This pattern consists of 3 consecutive candles and can be either bullish or bearish. In the bullish pattern (Inside Up) formed at the end of a downtrend, the last candle must be bullish, and the third candle from the end must be bearish.
Additionally, the close price must be more than 50% of the third candle from the end. In the bearish pattern (Inside Down) formed at the end of an uptrend, the last candle must be bearish, and the third candle from the end must be bullish. Additionally, the close price must be less than 50% of the third candle from the end. Important: Bullish 3 Inside Bar is labeled "Bu3IB," and Bearish 3 Inside Bar is labeled "Be3IB."
Engulfing : The Engulfing candlestick pattern is a reversal pattern and consists of at least two candles, where one of them completely engulfs the body of the previous or following candle due to high volatility.
For this reason, the term "engulfing" is used for this pattern. This pattern occurs when the price body of a candle encompasses one or more candles before it. Engulfing candles can be bullish or bearish. Bullish Engulfing forms as a reversal candle at the end of a downtrend.
Bullish Engulfing indicates strong buying power and signals the beginning of an uptrend. This pattern is a bullish candle with a long upward body that completely covers the downward body before it. Bearish Engulfing, as a reversal pattern, is a long bearish candle that engulfs the upward candle before it.
Bearish Engulfing forms at the end of an uptrend and indicates the pressure of new sellers and their strong power. Additionally, forming this pattern at resistance levels and the absence of a lower shadow increases its credibility. Important: Bullish Engulfing is labeled "BuE," and Bearish Engulfing is labeled "BeE."
🔵 Settings
This section, you can use the buttons "Show Pin Bar," "Show Dark Cloud," "Show Piercing Line," "Show 3 Inside Bar," and "Show Engulfing" to enable or disable the display of each of these candlestick patterns.

Candlesticks Patterns [TradingFinder] Pin Bar Hammer Shooting🔵 Introduction
Truly, the title "TradingView" doesn't do justice to this excellent website, and that's why I've written about its crucial aspect. In this indicator, the identification of all candlesticks known as "Pin bars" is explored.
These candlesticks include the following:
- Hammer : A Pin bar formed at the end of a bearish trend, with its body being either bearish or bullish.
- Shooting Star : Formed at the end of a bullish trend, with its body being either bearish or bullish.
- Hanging Man : Formed during an upward trend, characterized by a candle with a lower shadow.
- Inverted Hammer : Formed during a downward trend, characterized by a candle with an upper shadow.
🟣 Important : For ease of use, we refer to these four candlestick patterns as Pin Bars and categorize them into the main friends "Bullish" and "Bearish."
🟣 Important : In all sources, Hanging Man and Inverted Hammer are referred to as "Reversal candles." However, in reality, whenever they appear after breaking a significant area (Break Out), we expect these candles to signal a continuation of the trend and confirmation in the direction of the trend.
🟣 Important : One of the best signs of market manipulation and entry by market giants is the "Ice Berg." So, it provides one of the best trading opportunities.
🔵 Reason for Creation
Many traders, especially volume traders, use Pin bars as confirmation and enter the market after their occurrence. In this indicator, all four patterns are identified and displayed in a colored candle format, using "triangle" and "circle."
When they are evident on the chart, directly or by drawing a horizontal line, they give us good alerts for reversal or continuation areas.
🔵 Information Table
1. Red circle: Pin bars formed in a downtrend.
2. Blue circle: Bullish Pin bars formed in an uptrend.
3. Black triangle: Bearish Pin bar candle in an uptrend.
4. Blue triangle: Bullish Pin bar candle in a downtrend.
🔵 Settings
Trend Detection Period: A special feature that considers smaller or larger fluctuations. If individual price waves need to be considered, use lower numbers; if the overall trend direction is desired, use larger numbers (e.g., 5-7 or higher). This precisely sets the Zigzag or Pivot format, not displayed but considered in the indicator calculation.
Trend Effect : By changing the Trend Effect status to "Off," all Pin bars, whether bullish or bearish, are displayed regardless of the current market trend. If the status remains "On," only Pin bars in the direction of the main market trend are shown.
🟣 Important : Black triangles "Number 3" and blue triangles "Number 4" displayed in the information table section, as explained in the "Information Table" section.
Show Bullish Pin Bar : When set to "Yes," displays bullish Pin bars; when set to "No," does not display them.
Show Bearish Pin Bar : When set to "Yes," allows the display of bearish Pin bars; when set to "No," does not display them.
Bullish Pin Bar Setting : Using the "Ratio Lower Shadow to Body" and "Ratio Lower Shadow to Higher Shadow" settings, you can customize your bullish Pin bar candles. Larger numbers impose stricter conditions for identifying bullish Pin bars.
Bearish Pin Bar Setting : Using the "Ratio Higher Shadow to Body" and "Ratio Higher Shadow to Lower Shadow" settings, you can customize your bearish Pin bar candles. Larger numbers impose stricter conditions for identifying bearish Pin bars.
Show Info Table : Allows the display or non-display of the information table (located at the bottom of the page and on the right side).
🔵 How to Use
At the end of a downtrend, look for "Hammer" candles, easily identified one by one.
To identify the "Shooting Star" candle pattern at the end of an uptrend; expect a price reversal in the downtrend.
For trades in the downward direction, wait for the formation of an "Inverted Hammer" Pin bar.
And finally, in an uptrend, where a "Hanging Man" candle can form.
🔵 Features
For better visualization, triangles and circles are used above the candles, but they can be easily removed. All Pin bars are displayed in color with the following meanings:
- Black-bodied candle: Inverted Hammer
- Turquoise blue candle: Hammer
- Pink candle: Hanging Man
- Red candle: Shooting Star
🟣 Important : The capability to detect the powerful two-candle pattern "Tweezer Top" at the end of an uptrend emerges by forming two "Shooting Star" candles side by side.
Similarly, the two-candle pattern "Tweezer Bottom" is created at the end of a downtrend with the formation of two "Hammer" candles side by side. To identify the "Tweezer" pattern, make sure the settings in the "Trend Effect" section are set to "Off."

Candle Color By OHLC ComparisonThis indicator is designed to help you recognize the price movements within a candle/bar more quickly and easily. Typically, candle coloring is based on the opening and closing prices, but in this indicator, I followed the OHLC values in reverse order: starting with closing, low, high, and then opening. Each of these is compared with the value in the previous candle. I assigned the least importance to the opening, hence did not include it in the color determination. To make the colors memorable, I used a rainbow-like color scale; with purple representing the highest value and maroon the lowest. You can also change the colors if you wish. Additionally, if you want to set alarms, I assigned values to the candles; the highest being 16 and the lowest 1. A thicker barchart provides a better visual representation.
For instance, consider the monthly chart of the NASDAQ 100. After a prolonged positive trend, when our indicator shows a negative maroon bar (representing a low value) for the first time, it could signal a change in the trend direction. In this scenario, the appearance of the maroon bar serves as a crucial alert for investors to review their current positions or prepare for a potential downtrend. This indicator provides users with a significant advantage in identifying such critical turning points and assists them in quickly adapting to market dynamics.
Trailing Candle CounterThis script is for users who like to monitor and/or analyze a specified number of candles within the time the last candle closed. Al Brooks fans may enjoy this indicator.
While searching for an indicator that already had this functionality I found a script by @Steversteves which counted the candles/percentage within a set period of time. This let me know it could be done. In honor of Steversteves I kept the table the same colors - although, I added code to allow the table to be modified.
When opening the script the user will need to set a begin/end time to analyze – don't worry as you can set anything you want and it can be altered after the script is running.
This image shows the settings for a user to be able to set a begin time and have the indicator count all the candles from that time through to the current time and update at each candle close. The user can move the beginning time as needed. This is useful if the user is monitoring the length of a trend, wedge, channel, etc.:
If the indicator is in view and the beginning time is on the chart the user can select the table to view/select/change the beginning time.
This image shows the settings for a user to monitor the last set of candles since the last candle closed. This is useful if the user expects a pullback after a set number of candles or expects some alteration in a trend within a set number of candles. In this case the user setting is to watch five candles:
This setting is the reason for my creation of this indicator. This image shows the settings for a user to monitor two sets of candles. In this case an additional set of five candles has been added to the original set of five candles:
If one is watching for movements to last a certain number of bars when the first bar of the movement is exiting the background color the user can expect a change in the price momentum.
This image shows the same functionality as in Steversteves original script (although, I used almost none of his original code). The user can set a begin time and end time to analyze the number or red/green candles and the percentage of each within that time period.
If the indicator is in view and the beginning and end times are on the chart the user can select the table to view/select/change the times.
I hope you find this useful and if you have any questions/comments/suggestions for improvement please comment below.
