MTF Bull Power Bear Power(Elder Ray Indicator)■Overview
This indicator enables to select an upper timeframe’s Bull Power Bear Power(aka Elder Ray Indicator) (MTF) and the one of chart’s timeframe simultaneously by which users can always analyze looking at upper timeframe situation.
Also, it displays signals when bull power bear power cross zero line with an ability to set alerts.
■Formula
The indicator calculates bull power and bear power following the original Elder Ray indicator as follows.
1.Bull Power : High - EMA(13)
2.Bear Power : Low - EMA(13)
3.Bull Power Bear Power : 1 + 2
※MTF is same as above
※MA period can be changed
※High/Low is highs/lows of a chart timeframe that users are opening unless you show MTF.
See the link below for the details.

TradeChartist Vitality™TradeChartist Vitality is a visual indicator that uses both Mean Reversion and Trend Following models to visually show the vitality of Bulls and Bears on chart based on only one factor - Sensitivity in relation to the Vital Support/Resistance derived from the Vitality Bands, Price Momentum and Volatility.
===================================================================================================================
™TradeChartist Vitality Features:
=============================
Vitality Bands comprising of Vitality Mean and 5 Bull/Bear Limits. These are determined using the user defined Sensitivity from the settings (Very Low, Low, Optimal, High). Higher the sensitivity, shorter the trend and lower the Risk/Reward ratio.
Vital Support and Resistance that decide the Bull and Bear Vitality using colour coded markers on top and bottom of the chart, based on the trend.
Information table that shows the Bull/Bear Vitality, RSI and Price information of the Vitality Mean, Bull Limits 1-5 and Bear Limits 1-5. These prices are colour coded green or red based on the real time closing price trading above or below.
Bull and Bear markers appear after the confirmation of the trend change at the start of the trend.
Option to plot Pivot Points (Traditional and Fibonacci) automatically or based on user defined time frame. These are really helpful in determining the developing price dynamic based on Ranging/Squeezing/Expanding Pivot Points.
Bar Colouring based on Bull/Bear Vitality.
4 Colour Themes for the Bands visuals.
$ signs to help users spot potential zones to Take Profit/Move SL. The $ signs appear above/below the price bars based on the trend at zones of potential price exhaustion, critical support/resistance and other factors.
Vitality Bands Transparency adjustment and Custom colour option for Pivot Points.
Alerts can be created for the following.
Long - Alerts when Bull signal is generated. Use Once Per Bar Close
Long Take Profit - Alerts when $ signs are plotted during Bull Zone. Use Once Per Bar
Short - Alerts when Bear signal is generated. Use Once Per Bar Close
Short Take Profit - Alerts when $ signs are plotted during Bear Zone. Use Once Per Bar
Test of Mean - Alerts when price tests the Volatizer Mean line. Use Once Per Bar
Note : The script doesn't repaint, so the alerts can be used with confidence. To check this, users can do bar replay to check if the plots and markers stay in the same place.
===================================================================================================================
The indicator can be used for trade entries with filter combinations or can be used as standalone Visualizer for trend confirmations, levels etc.
===================================================================================================================
Best Practice: Test with different settings first using Paper Trades before trading with real money

Trader Pressure Index (TPX)This is my take on the script by RedK
I kept the algorithm exactly the same, but changed the layout and the default look back period. Most important is that the resulting line, the TPX, is now a histogram with green and red staves.
To put the histogram on a logical place in the graph, I changed the way the control/dominance level is implemented, it now lowers or highers the whole graph, this way the zero level becomes the ‘no interest’ level.
I added two horizontal lines at a distance of 40 because I feel that this is sort of an oversold / overbought indication. In practice not very convincing, but provides a visual comparison.
In this layout I explain that grass is growing on bull hills peaking up behind the foreground and blood is dripping from the bear hills.
Enjoy.
{Gunzo} Bulls Power vs. Bears PowerBulls Power vs. Bears Power is a unique tool that displays on each candle the balance between the bears (sellers) and the bulls (buyers).
OVERWIEW :
This indicator is mainly based on the popular indicator “Elder ray” made by Dr. Alexander Elder in 1989. This indicator has been developed in order to determine the strength of the competing groups of buyers and sellers in the markets.
CALCULATION :
To measure the competing power of bulls and bears, the indicator compares the current high (maximum power of the bulls) and current low (maximum power of the bears) to the average price using a exponential moving average.
Bull Power = Current High – EMA 13 (closing)
Bear Power = Current Low – EMA 13 (closing)
This Elder ray indicator can also tell us more information about market conditions :
If the current high and current low are above the EMA 13, the bulls are totally in control on the market
If the current high and current low are under the EMA 13, the bears are totally in control of the market
If the EMA 13 is in between of the current high and current low, there is strong fight about controlling the market, there is possible reversal in this configuration
SETTINGS :
Fast MA Period : Fast moving average period (only used for buy sell signal)
Slow MA Period : Slow moving average period (only used for buy sell signal)
Display candle labels : Show/hide candle labels on the chart
Display only bear labels above X : Exclude all top candle labels on the chart below the value specified.
Display only bull labels above X : Exclude all bottom candle labels on the chart below the value specified.
Display opposite values : Show all candle labels on top (bearish) and bottom (bullish) or only show the candle labels for the winning force on the candle.
Display box for last candle : Show/hide the dominance boxes (red and blue) after last candle showing the last bear and bull power.
Display box after X candles : How many candles in the future the dominance boxes should be displayed.
Display slow / fast crossover (o) : Display crossover signals (circles) between fast line and slow line.
Display bear / bull fighting (x) : Display fighting signals (crosses) between bull and bears.
VISUALIZATIONS :
This indicator has 3 possible complementary visualizations:
Candle labels : The labels on top are the percentage of the bears on the candle, while the labels on the bottom are the percentage of the bulls on the candle. When the bulls are winning the labels are blue, when the bears are winning the labels are red, silver otherwise.
Box after last candle : The blue and red boxes after the last candle are the percentage of bears and bulls on the last candle of the chart. That boxes can be disabled in the settings if you feel it is redundant with the labels.
Signals : The signals are displayed at the bottom of the main area of trading. The orange “x” represents an area where bulls and bears are fighting hard. The blue “o” represents a buy signal (fast line crosses over the slow line) and the red “o” represents a sell sinal (fast line crosses under the slow line).
USAGE :
The most important rule in the usage of this indicator is :
“The higher the current bull power is (or bear power), the higher the chances are the next candle will also be bullish (or bearish).”
When the prices is increasing, it is very interesting to follow the bull power to verify that it is either stable or increasing. If the bull power keeps decreasing candle after candle, there is chances that in the next candles there will be a reversal.
When there is orange crosses in the signal area (bottom of the screen), it means that there is a big fight between bulls and bears and that the current price of the asset is probably stable. During these fighting areas, reversals are more likely to happen.
When there is a blue circle in the signal area (or red signal), it can be considered as a buy signal (or sell signal). These signals are determined by the crossover of the fast and slow lines of the total power of the bulls plus the bears.
LIMITATIONS :
As Pine script only allows to display about 50 drawings on the chart, the labels on the candles can not be printed on all the historical candles. The option “Display opposites” could be useful to hide unnecessary labels and then be able to display more older labels.
As the Elder ray indicator uses an average price (EMA 13 of closing price), the indicator may be lagging in some situations, but most of the time it will help to filter the bad signals contrary to the indicators that are too reactive.
Bull vs Bear Power by DGTElder-Ray Bear and Bull Power
Dr. Alexander Elder cleverly named his first indicator Elder-Ray because of its function, which is designed to see through the market like an X-ray machine. Developed in 1989, the Elder-Ray indicator can be applied to the chart of any security and helps traders determine the strength of competing groups of bulls and bears by gazing under the surface of the markets for data that may not immediately be ascertainable from a superficial glance at prices
The Elder-Ray indicator is comprised by three elements – Bear Power, Bull Power and a 13-period Exponential Moving Average.
As the high price of any candle shows the maximum power of buyers and the low price of any candle shows the maximum power of sellers, Elder uses the 13-period EMA in order to present the average consensus of price value. Bull power shows whether buyers are capable of pushing prices above the average consensus of value. Bear power shows whether sellers are capable of pushing prices below the average consensus of value. Mathematically, Bull power is the result of subtracting the 13-period EMA from the high price of the day, and Bear power is the result of subtracting the 13-period EMA from the low price of the day.
What does this study implements
Attempts to customize interpretation of Alexander Elder's Elder-Ray Indicator (Bull and Bear Power) by
• adding additional insights to support/confirm Elder’s strategy with different indicators related with the Elder’s concept
• providing different options of visualization of the indicator
• providing smoothing capability
Other Indicators to support/confirm Elder-Ray Indicator:
Colored Directional Movement Index (CDMI) , a custom interpretation of J. Welles Wilder’s Directional Movement Index (DMI) , where :
DMI is a collection of three separate indicators ( ADX , +DI , -DI ) combined into one and measures the trend’s strength as well as its direction
CDMI is a custom interpretation of DMI which presents ( ADX , +DI , -DI ) with a color scale - representing the trend’s strength, color density - representing momentum/slope of the trend’s strength, and triangle up/down shapes - representing the trend’s direction. CDMI provides all the information in a single line with colored triangle shapes plotted on the top. DMI can provide quality information and even trading signals but it is not an easy indicator to master, whereus CDMI simplifies its usage.
Alexander Elder considers the slope of the EMA, which gives insight into the recent trend whether is up or down, and CDMI adds additional insight of verifying/confirming the trend as well as its strength
Note : educational content of how to read CDMI can be found in ideas section named as “Colored Directional Movement Index”
different usages of CDMI can be observed with studies “Candlestick Patterns in Context by DGT", “Ichimoku Colored SuperTrend + Colored DMI by DGT”, “Colored Directional Movement and Bollinger Band's Cloud by DGT”, and “Technical Analyst by DGT”
Price Convergence/Divergence , if we pay attention to mathematical formulations of bull power, bear power and price convergence/divergence (also can be expressed as price distance to its ma) we would clearly observe that price convergence/divergence is in fact the result of how the market performed based on the fact that we assume 13-period EMA is consensus of price value. Then, we may assume that the price convergence/divergence crosses of bull power, or bear power, or sum of bull and bear power could be considered as potential trading signals
Additionally, price convergence/divergence visualizes the belief that prices high above the moving average or low below it are likely to be remedied in the future by a reverse price movement
Alternatively, Least Squares Moving Average of Price Convergence/Divergence (also known as Linear Regression Curve) can be plotted instead of Price Convergence/Divergence which can be considered as a smoothed version of Price Convergence/Divergence
Note : different usages of Price Convergence/Divergence can be observed with studies “Trading Psychology - Fear & Greed Index by DGT”, “Price Distance to its MA by DGT”, “P-MACD by DGT”, where “Price Distance to its MA by DGT” can also be considered as educational content which includes an article of a research carried on the topic
Options of Visualization
Bull and Bear Power plotted as two separate
• histograms
• lines
• bands
Sum of Bull and Bear Power plotted as single
• histogram
• line
• band
Others
Price Convergence/Divergence displayed as Line
CDMI is displayed as single colored line of triangle shapes, where triangle shapes displays direction of the trend (triangle up represents bull and triangle down represent bear), colors of CDMI displays the strength of the trend (green – strong bullish, red – strong bearish, gray – no trend, yellow – week trend)
In general with this study, color densities also have a meaning and aims to displays if the value of the indicator is falling or growing, darker colors displays more intense move comparing to light one
Note : band's upper and lower levels are calculated by using standard deviation build-in function with multiply factor of 0.236 Fibonacci’s ratio (just a number for our case, no any meaning)
Smoothing
No smoothing is applied by default but the capability is added in case Price Convergence/Divergence Line is assumed to be used as a signal line it will be worth smoothing the bear, bull or sum of bear and bull power indicators
Interpreting Elder-Ray Indicator, according to Dr. Alexander Elder
Bull Power should remain positive in normal circumstances, while Bear Power should remain negative in normal circumstances. In case the Bull Power indicator enters into negative territory, this implies that sellers have overcome buyers and control the market. In case the Bear Power indicator enters into positive territory, this indicates that buyers have overcome sellers and control the market. A trader should not go long at times when the Bear Power indicator is positive and he/she should not go short at times when the Bull Power indicator is negative.
13-period EMAs slope can be used in order to identify the direction of the major trend. According to Elder, the most reliable buy signals are generated, when there is a bullish divergence between the Bear Power indicator and the price (Bear Power forms higher lows, while the market forms lower lows). The most reliable sell signals are generated, when there is a bearish divergence between the Bull Power indicator and the price (Bull Power forms lower highs, while the market forms higher highs).
There are four basic conditions, required to go long or short, with the use of the Elder-Ray method alone.
In order to go long:
1. The market is in a bull trend, as indicated by the 13-period EMA
2. Bear Power is in negative territory, but increasing
3. The most recent Bull Power top is higher than its prior top
4. Bear Power is going up from a bullish divergence
The last two conditions are optional that fine-tune the buying decision
In order to go short:
1. The market is in a bear trend, as indicated by the 13-period EMA
2. Bull Power is in positive territory, but falling
3. The most recent Bear Power bottom is lower than its prior bottom
4. Bull Power is falling from a bearish divergence
The last two conditions are optional, they provide a stronger signal for shorting but they are not absolutely essential
If a trader is willing to add to his/her position, he/she needs to:
1. add to his/her long position, when the Bear Power falls below zero and then climbs back into positive territory
2. add to his/her short position, when the Bull Power increases above zero and then drops back into negative territory.

TradeChartist PowerTracer ProTradeChartist PowerTracer Pro is an exceptionally well designed and a functional indicator, requiring minimal user input to trace the asset's Bull and Bear Power. The indicator makes it visually engaging with its intelligent positioning of the PowerTracer Bar, tracking not just the current trend, but also the developing trend using visually easy to understand Power plots. PowerTracer Pro can be used with PowerTrader Pro to generate Trade signals with several possible combinations of settings based on PowerTracer Pro Backtester Performance results.
What does ™TradeChartist PowerTracer Pro do?
1. Tracks Bull and Bear Power and plots the information visually on chart using one of the following 2 Power plot options based on Timeframe Multiplier and Smoothing Factor..
𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗿 - Plot of the Bull and Bear Power Oscillator, pivotal to this script that tracks the true Bull and Bear Power along with Bull/Bear oscillator reading, calculated dynamically using a unique and original formula. Values beyond 50 and -50 are quite rare, but theoretically, they can go beyond 80 and -80. 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗿's highs and lows are also tracked and updated real-time using labels placed exactly at the Highs and Lows with their readings.
Bar-wise Power Holder - Absolute Bull and Bear power of each bar. It is plotted by calculating the difference between Bull and Bear Power of each bar. The values can swing between -100 and +100 even though values above 90 and below 90 are rare.
2. Visually displays the Balance of Power between the Bulls and the Bears using Power density background fill.
3. Uses an accompanying 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗿 bar that helps spot the true bull and bear power using simple linear blocks, displaying the power level using power intensity colors.
4. Paints price bars and PowerTracer background using Power intensity colors, which helps spot the increase or decrease in Bull and Bear Power. Price bar color changes are based on increasing/decreasing power intensity of the price bar's power holder and may not be the same as the Power plots. This is designed specifically to spot price trends based on chart timeframe power trend.
5. Inverts bar colors, and PowerTracer bar color to help see price trend using the Opponent's Point of View.
What markets can this indicator be used on?
-- Forex
-- Stocks - works best with 4hr or above and prices calculated taking gaps into account.
-- Commodities
-- Cryptocurrencies
and almost any asset on Trading View
What time-frames can this indicator be used on?
This indicator can be used on all timeframes. If the asset has very little volume / volatility or is far low in comparative value against the base currency, power detection can be choppy, but with most assets, this won't be an issue.
Does this indicator repaint?
-- No. Real-time Power plots can change colors and values based on current bar close as values get calculated dynamically. Once the bar closes, plots and power intensity colors don't repaint.
-- This can be verified using Bar Replay to check if the plots and fills stay in the same bar in real time as the Bar Replay
Does the indicator generate trade signals based on Power shifts?
Yes. PowerTracer Pro can be connected to PowerTrader Pro to generate BUY and SELL signals with automatic/user specified targets on the main price chart along with Fixed or Trailing Stop Loss plots based on the Power Plot opted by the user. Combo Strategy 123 Reversal & Elder Ray (Bull Power) This is combo strategies for get a cumulative signal.
First strategy
This System was created from the Book "How I Tripled My Money In The
Futures Market" by Ulf Jensen, Page 183. This is reverse type of strategies.
The strategy buys at market, if close price is higher than the previous close
during 2 days and the meaning of 9-days Stochastic Slow Oscillator is lower than 50.
The strategy sells at market, if close price is lower than the previous close price
during 2 days and the meaning of 9-days Stochastic Fast Oscillator is higher than 50.
Second strategy
Developed by Dr Alexander Elder, the Elder-ray indicator measures buying
and selling pressure in the market. The Elder-ray is often used as part
of the Triple Screen trading system but may also be used on its own.
Dr Elder uses a 13-day exponential moving average (EMA) to indicate the
market consensus of value. Bull Power measures the ability of buyers to
drive prices above the consensus of value. Bear Power reflects the ability
of sellers to drive prices below the average consensus of value.
Bull Power is calculated by subtracting the 13-day EMA from the day's High.
Bear power subtracts the 13-day EMA from the day's Low.
You can use in the xPrice any series: Open, High, Low, Close, HL2, HLC3, OHLC4 and ect...

TradeChartist PowerTracer™TradeChartist PowerTracer is an exceptionally well designed and functional indicator, requiring minimal user input to trace the asset's Bull and Bear Power. The indicator makes it visually engaging with its various color schemes and intelligent positioning of the PowerTracer Bar, tracking not just the current trend, but also the developing trend using a visually easy to understand Power plots.
What does ™TradeChartist PowerTracer do?
1. Tracks Bull and Bear Power and plots the information visually on chart using one of the following 3 Power plot options based on high or low power detection sensitivity.
It is plotted by calculating the difference between Bull and Bear Power or each bar. The values can swing between -100 and +100 even though values above 90 and below 90 are rare. The bar color on the chart will be painted using this value to visually display the Bull/Bear strength if "Paint Bars on Chart" is enabled from the indicator settings.
Bar-wise Power Fight - Plot of Maximum Bull and Bear Power of every bar that helps visualize the fight between Bulls and Bears in each bar.
2. Visually displays the Balance of Power between the Bulls and the Bears using Opponent Power Gain background fill when it is 50% or over. For example, if the current PowerTracer plot is a Bull zone, enabling this setting with Opponent Power Gain % set at 75, will paint the background when Bear Power increases beyond 75% using the Bear Power Intensity fill based on Color Scheme the user opts from the settings. This option can be enabled or disabled from settings and the Opponent Power gain % (minimum 50%) can also be adjusted to spot the change in price trend early on.
3. Uses an accompanying 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗿 bar that helps spot the true bull and bear power using simple linear blocks, displaying the power level using power intensity colors based on the color scheme.
4. Paints price bars and PowerTracer background using Power intensity colors based on Color Scheme from the indicator settings, which helps spot the increase or decrease in Bull and Bear Power.
5. Inverts bar colors, background fill and PowerTracer bar color to help see price using the Opponent's Point of View.
If the asset has very little volume/volatility or is far low in comparative value against the base currency, power detection can be choppy, but with most assets, this won't be an issue.
Does the indicator send alerts when the power shifts from Bull to Bear or from Bear to Bull?
Yes. Users can get alerts when Power gets shifted using Trading View alerts. This can be done by choosing '™TradeChartist PowerTracer' and 'Powershift to Bulls' or 'Powershift to Bears' under Trading View Alert condition and by using 'Once per bar close' as user needs to wait for candle close for Power shift confirmation.
Example Charts
In this split screen chart of Bitcoin, it can be seen how the 30m chart on left is Bearish and 5m chart on right is Bullish based on Power changes. The trend can be spotted on PowerTracer by spotting the Opponent's background fill that started showing when Opponent's power gained by over 75%. This is a good example using the script for scalping/swing trading using 2 timeframes. Note that the chart on the left shows Price bars and PowerTracer bar with inverted colors to show Opponent's point of view.
In this 15m chart of GBP-USD, 100% Power gain for Entries and Exits is used. This is a more conservative approach and is suited for less aggressive traders based on complete change of trend.
In this 2hr chart of Ethereum, all 3 Power plots are used to identify the trend using low sensitivity using 100% Power Gain entries and this shows how a trade can be held longer to maximise gains using entries with Power shift confirmations.

Nikesh Price CycleEvery Script has a pattern and it follows a cyclic movement which results into many small and big swings. We have tried to capture these cyclic pattern. Division line acts here as a pivot point which defines a holistic view of bulls and bear power. Price moving above division line indicates bullish trend and price moving below division line indicates bearish trend. Price scale bar defines trend momentum. when price crosses price scale bar with green scale bar colour it shows we should enter. we will keep on booking our profit on near next fib level. we will exit the trend once price candle crosses linear regression line. for safe entry in case of bulls entry-- price scale bar, linear regression line and mid avg term line should be below price candle. In case of bears entry--price scale bar, linear regression line and mid avg term line should be above price candle.
iTrendPorted version of the original iTrend.mq4, use it as a trend detector, just check the color of the upper bars in the histogram.
Bulls and BearsThis is a standard 'Bulls and Bears Power" Oscillator, how ever,...
There are two different formulas for calculating bulls and bears, the standard version, uses Highest and Lowest of prices in a given period, BUT, the version we have in meta trader platform, uses the current high and current low for each bar.
Within this indicator, you can use the standard version or the meta trader version, it will draw both bulls and bears and you can turn each one on and off in the style section.
Swing Trade Pros - Price Flow IndicatorThe STP Price Flow Indicator measures the buying and selling pressure in the market. Using this indicator to measure the trend will allow you to identify favorable entry and exit points. When the background turns green the price will rise and we are in a Bull market. Likewise, when the background turns red the price will fall and we are in a Bear market.
™TradeChartist Rubicon™TradeChartist Rubicon is a beautifully designed functional indicator that helps traders enter and exit Long or Short trades with ease.
This indicator is aptly named Rubicon as it studies the candles in the River of Rubicon (Flat Blue River that never stops flowing up and down the chart) through the Lands of Rubicon to find out which army ( Bulls or Bears ) is committing itself to crossing the River and its tides. By doing this for every price candle, the indicator generates BUY and SELL signals along with Targets and real-time Gains on the chart.
What does the ™TradeChartist Rubicon Indicator do?
Plots very high probability BUY and SELL signals on chart
-- Real-time signals are plotted in Orange labels. (Note: Real-time signals repaint. So wait for confirmation before taking a trade position. This feature is included based on feedback from a few traders as some of them like to see a potential direction based on developing candle, its RSI, Stochastic etc.)
-- Confirmed signals are plotted in Green labels for BUY and Red labels for SELL. These signals don't repaint and can be used confidently to enter or exit a trade.
-- Option to choose type of trade opportunity from indicator settings namely - Long trades, Short trades or both, based on which the chart background colour will be green for duration of long trades or red for duration of short trades.
-- Intermediate signals are also plotted between the primary BUY and SELL signals which can be used for re-entry, scalping etc if the opportunity to enter trade at Primary signal was missed. These secondary signals marked as B and S with arrows can be deactivated from indicator settings.
Plots Target levels as soon as BUY or SELL signal is confirmed on chart.
-- These levels can be used as support and resistance levels too.
-- The first 3 TP levels can be used as a litmus test to trade higher levels as the likelihood of price hitting higher profit levels significantly increase when price crosses the first 3 smaller levels.
-- The performance of the current signal can be tracked by using the Show Gains from Primary Signal and the past signals can be accessed by checking Show Past Performance option from Indicator Settings.
Plots % Gains based on candle close in real-time and Max % Gains based on highest since the BUY signal or lowest since the SELL signal. The entry price is normally plotted along with the signals and is an indicative price based on breached resistance. Traders may choose to buy at Market Price or Limit Price based on the price movement at the time of signal generation.
Plots Bulls/Bears waiting price points for chart time-frame if activated from settings. (Default - Not Active)
Automatically plots Bull and Bear power labels along with visually painting the Bull or Bear power on the Lands of Rubicon.
Plots RSI colour candles based on user preferred Overbought and Oversold RSI levels from indicator settings. (Default - 60 Overbought and 30 Oversold)
What markets can this indicator be used on?
Forex
Stocks - works best with 4hr or above and prices calculated taking gaps into account.
Commodities
Cryptocurrencies
and almost any asset on Trading View
Works really well when there is good volume , volatility or both in the asset observed/traded.
What time-frames can this indicator be used on?
This indicator can be used on 1m, 3m, 5m, 10m, 15m, 30m, 1hr, 2hr, 3hr, 4hr, 6hr, 8hr, 12hr, Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly and Monthly time-frames. Signal generation based on value, volume and volatility. If an asset has very little volume or is far low in comparative value against the base currency, there can be far too many erratic signals but with most assets, this won't be an issue.
Does this indicator repaint?
No and Yes
-- Once the confirmed BUY (in green) and SELL (in red) signals are posted after a candle close, it doesn't repaint.
-- Repainting happens for real time Orange label BUY and SELL signal on the current candle. Some traders prefer to see the developing signal and trade using RSI, Stochastic etc.
Does the indicator send alerts when a signal is generated?
Yes, traders can get alerts by setting Trading View alerts for BUY/SELL Signals and when a new Profit Target is achieved. For confirmed BUY/SELL alerts, 'Once per bar close' must be used.
Real-time BUY and SELL trigger alerts can also be set using 'Once per bar' or 'Once per minute' as alert frequency.

Bull Bear Power TrendDo you find it difficult to analyze trends?
This indicator will help you to have an objective analysis of the trend.
Let's start .....
In this indicator Bears and Bulls go their separate ways.
-The Bull line (bullish green) always goes above zero.
-The Bear line (bearish red) always goes below zero.
With a quick glance, you will know who is winning.
There are two zones of tendency force:
- Above 2 for bulls: when the Bull line crosses its + 2 level upwards, an uptrend begins to have strength.
- Below 2 for bears: when the Bear line crosses its -2 level down, a downward trend begins to gain strength.
Trend Confirmation:
- When a histrogram bar appears the trend is confirmed.
When a positive histogram appears, it indicates that the Bull line is above its + level and the Bear line is above its level -.
When it is a negative histogram that appears, it indicates that the Bear line is below its level - and the Bull line is below its + level.
The TREND line (in black) is the difference between the Bull line and the Bear line.
Its crosses above / below zero serve us to track the trend, as well as turning points where we could put a stop loss .
This indicator generates multiple signals as position management, I leave it to fall in love with it and find all that.
Thanks to Jose Callao for this great idea.

Elder Ray Bull and Bear Power OscillatorsElder Ray Bull and Bear Power Oscillators
Tradingview Screener Bull Bear Power(BBPOWER)
OVERVIEW
The Bull and Bear Power oscillators developed by Dr Alexander Elder attempt to measure the power of buyers (bulls) and sellers (bears) to push prices above and below the consensus of value. The primary principles on which Elder based the oscillator are:
The highest price displays the maximum buyer’s power within the day.
The lowest price displays the maximum seller’s power within the day.
The moving average can be construed as a price agreement between buyers and sellers for a given time period.
The Bulls/Bears power balance is important since changes in this balance can signal the early stages of a potential trend reversal.
CALCULATION
Elder uses a 13-day exponential moving average (EMA) to indicate the consensus market value.
Bull Power is calculated by subtracting the 13-day EMA from the day’s high.
Bear Power is derived by subtracting the 13-day EMA from the day’s low.
TRADING WITH THE ELDER RAY BULL AND BEAR POWER OSCILLATORS
BULL POWER
Where a currency uptrend is sustained to the point that maximum prices move above the EMA the Bull Power histogram will be greater than zero. As price maximums accelerate to greater levels (above the EMA) during the rising trend histogram bars will increase in height above the zero line showing the increased buying strength during the period.
BEAR POWER
Where a currency downtrend is sustained to the point that minimum prices move below the EMA the Bear Power histogram will be less than zero. As price minimums accelerate to lower levels (below the EMA) during the falling trend histogram bars will increase in height below the zero line showing increased selling strength during the period.
TRADING SIGNALS
It is important for traders to use the Elder Ray oscillators in conjunction with the EMA overlay over the price chart (typically as per period being analysed) to give additional context to the signals. Sell signals are given if Bull Power is above zero and there is a bearish divergence in the Bull Power histogram or if the Bull Power histogram is above zero and falling.
Buy signals are given if Bear Power is below zero and there is a bullish divergence in the Bear Power histogram or if the Bear Power histogram is below zero and rising. It is extremely important for traders to only trade in the above scenarios if the direction of the trend indicated by the slope of the EMA on the price chart is in the direction of their trade when the signal is given (or shortly after).
Elder ray ( Bull power and bear power combined )Elder-ray is an indicator named for its similarity to x-rays.
It shows the structure of bullish and bearish
power below the surface of the markets. Elder-ray combines a trend-
following moving average with two oscillators to show when to enter
and exit long or short positions.
A moving average reflects the average consensus of value. The high of
each bar reflects the maximum power of bulls during that bar. The low of
each bar marks the maximum power of bears during that bar.
Elder-ray works by comparing the power of bulls and bears during each
bar with the average consensus of value. Bull Power reflects the maximum
power of bulls relative to the average consensus, and Bear Power the max-
imum power of bears relative to that consensus.
When the high of a bar is above the EMA, Bull Power is positive. When
the entire bar sinks below the EMA, which happens during severe de-
clines, Bull Power becomes negative. When the low of a bar is below the
EMA, Bear Power is negative. When the entire bar rises above the EMA,
which happens during wild rallies, Bear Power becomes positive.
The slope of a moving average identifies the current trend of the mar-
ket. When it rises, it shows that the crowd is becoming more bullish; it is
a good time to be long. When it falls, it shows that the crowd is becoming
more bearish; it is a good time to be short. Prices keep getting away from
a moving average but snap back to it, as if pulled by a rubber band. Bull
Power and Bear Power show the length of that rubber band. Knowing the
“Buy low, sell high” sounds good, but traders and investors seem to have
been more comfortable buying Lucent above 70 than below 7. Perhaps they
are not as rational as the efficient market theorists would like us to believe?
Elder-ray gives rational traders a glimpse into what is going on below the sur-
face of the market.
When the trend, identified by the 22-day EMA, is down and bulls are
under water, the rallies back to the surface mark shorting opportunities
normal height of Bull or Bear Power reveals how far prices are likely to get
away from their moving average before returning. Elder-ray offers one of
the best insights into where to take profits—at a distance away from the
moving average that equals the average Bull Power or Bear Power.
Elder-ray gives buy signals in uptrends when Bear Power turns nega-
tive and then ticks up. A negative Bear Power means that the bar is strad-
dling the EMA, with its low below the average consensus of value. Waiting
for Bear Power to turn negative forces you to buy value rather than chase
runaway moves. The actual buy signal is given by an uptick of Bear Power,
which shows that bears are starting to lose their grip and the uptrend is
about to resume. Take profits at the upper channel line or when a trend-
following indicator stops rising. Profits may be greater if you ride the
uptrend to its conclusion, but taking profits at the upper channel line is
more reliable.
Elder-ray gives shorting signals in downtrends when Bull Power turns
positive and then ticks down. We can identify the downtrend by a declin-
ing daily or weekly EMA. A positive Bull Power shows that the bar is strad-
dling the EMA, with its high above the average consensus of value.
Waiting for Bull Power to turn positive before shorting forces you to sell
at or above value instead of chasing waterfall declines. The actual short-
ing signal is given by a downtick of Bull Power, which shows that bulls
are starting to slip and the downtrend is about to resume. Once short, take
profits at the lower channel line or when the trend-following indicator
stops falling, depending on your style.

Modiied Elder Ray Index(Bull or Bear)Here's a modified version of the Elder Ray Index created by the famed Dr.Alexander Elder. This indicator has proven to be especially helpful lately given the crazy state of crypto.
Slow Moving Average :
The top chart shows the moving average used to filter trends. I recommend using a higher window length(can be adjusted with the 'lenSlowMA' input option). I wanted this to be a very smooth moving average, so I used the following formula:
slow MA = ema(vwma(close, 64), 64)
This resulted in a pretty smooth line that still detects major price movements very well.
-The background and bar colors both change in response to the Slow MA's value. The background and bars change to green when a bullish trend is detected and red when bearish.
Bear and Bull Power :
To balance things out a little, I included two histogram's based on Elder's Ray. Here, a more responsive EMA with a shorter window length is used to calculate the bull and bear power values and track short-term price fluctuations.
NOTE: The length of the EMA used here can be adjusted in the input menu.
Bull Power = current high - EMA(close, 13)
Bear Power = current low - EMA(close, 13)
Volume PowerThis indicator allows you to visualize the balance of buy and sell volume.
Volume is scored bullish or bearish and accumulated over a series of bars (defined by the "length" parameter).
This result is then normalized and smoothed.
